Paul Manafort's former son-in-law has reached a plea agreement with the US attorney's office in Los Angeles, which has been investigating Jeffrey Yohai's real estate deals for over a year, according to two sources familiar with the matter.Under the plea agreement Yohai will be required to cooperate with other investigators but one source told CNN it is unlikely he has much to offer to special counsel Robert Mueller.It's not clear what Yohai will be pleading to as part of the deal. He has not been publicly charged by prosecutors, though he has been under investigation.His guilty plea is all about his real estate Ponzi scheme -- he defrauded actor Dustin Hoffman, among others. Yohai will also have to cooperate with an investigation by the New York Attorney General's Office, which has an open investigation into Manafort. That probe is in the shadows of Mueller's investigation.Reuters first reported the plea deal had been reached.Yohai met with Department of Justice investigators in New York in the summer of 2017, according to two other sources familiar with the matter.Yohai provided information and documents to federal investigators in New York at the time, according to one of the sources.Yohai's lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment.The sources say the Justice Department was seeking cooperation related to the federal investigation into Manafort for possible money laundering or tax violations in his business dealings with pro-Russia political parties in Ukraine.The information was turned over to Mueller as part of his probe. PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, one of the most prominent women to lead a Fortune 500 company, will step down on Oct. 3.She will remain as chairwoman of the board of directors until early 2019. Nooyi, 62, will be replaced by Pepsi's global operations chief Ramon Laguarta, 54.Nooyi, who was born in India, is one of a handful of people of color to lead a Fortune 500 company.She helped turn Pepsi into one of the most successful food and beverage companies in the world. Sales grew 80% during her 12-year tenure. She spearheaded Pepsi's transition to a greener, more environmentally aware company.Nooyi has been with Pepsi for 24 years. Before becoming CEO she led the company's expansion through acquisitions, including its 2001 purchase of Quaker Oats Co. She earned million last year, and million over the last three years, according to company filings."Growing up in India, I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to lead such an extraordinary company," she said.Her departure leaves only 24 women leading Fortune 500 companies, after Beth Ford became the CEO of Land O'Lakes just last week. Police in North Carolina are searching for a suspect that allegedly robbed a boy's lemonade stand at gunpoint.The Charlotte Observer reports that a 9-year-old boy was selling lemonade in Monroe, a suburb of Charlotte, on Sunday afternoon. The boy was approached by a teenager wearing a camouflage hat and a black shirt.The teen stuck a handgun in the boy's stomach and demanded that he hand over the money he made. He fled the scene after receiving the money. The Observer reports that less than was stolen.WCNC-TV reports that a black BB gun, a camouflage cap and a metal tin were found in the woods near the scene. Police could not confirm that the items belonged to the suspect, but they say it seems likely.According to WCNC, the boy returned to selling lemonade soon after the incident. PATERSON, N.J. -- A tiny poodle named Bear is clinging to life after being tossed from a vehicle in New Jersey over the weekend, a local shelter said.The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge described the dog as emaciated and matted when he was found lying in the street "after being discarded like trash," the shelter wrote on Facebook. It appears he suffered "a lifetime of neglect," they wrote.The dog was thrown from a car window around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, near 927 Market St. in Paterson, the social media post said.As of Sunday morning, the poodle was in the intensive care unit at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus.The shelter said Bear suffered pelvic fractures, skin lesions from road rash and a possible herniated diaphragm.
