She added that "we want to own the healthy kitchen" and "make healthy cooking accessible to everyone."That strategy is clearly working. The company has attracted more men lately because of the new Freestyle offering. Actor and writer Kevin Smith, celebrity chef Eric Greenspan and music mogul DJ Khaled are all endorsing Weight Watchers.But as the stock price of Weight Watchers has climbed, Winfrey has actually taken some of her Weight Watchers chips off the table recently.She still owns nearly 5.5 million shares. But she sold about 2 million in March at prices ranging from about to a share. OAKLAND, Calif. -- The United States Geological Survey is reporting that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 has struck just outside of Oakland. The earthquake struck at 7:18 p.m. just two miles outside of Oakland Monday. No damage or injuries are being reported. The USGS originally reported that the earthquake was a 3.8 magnitude, then a 3.6. The quake was eventually downgraded to a 3.5.  439

On Monday, social media website Reddit banned r/The_Donald, a subreddit devoted to discussing President Donald Trump, as a part of a purge of more than 2,000 groups on the site that were in violation of the social media site's rules, according to The New York Times and The Verge.The move marks a stark change in Reddit policy. Previously, Reddit has allowed groups and individuals more leeway when censoring content on the site.Launched in 2015 along with Trump's presidential campaign, r/The_Donald grew to nearly 800,000 members before it was removed from Reddit. While the group did not have any affiliation with Trump or the Trump campaign, the then-Republican nominee participated in an "Ask Me Anything" discussion in the group during the 2016 presidential campaign.The group has become known for a breeding ground for conspiracy theories. According to reports, the group helped propel the "Pizzagate" theory that led to the arrest of an armed man at a D.C.-area pizza restaurant shortly after the 2016 election. It also routinely hosted Islamophobic discussions and promoted other content many considered to be racist.According to a disclaimer, Reddit says r/The_Donald was banned violating Rules 1 (harassment, threats of violence), 2 (spamming, vote manipulation) and 8 (don't break the site or do anything that interferes with the normal use of Reddit).Reddit had previously taken steps to curtail r/The_Donald. In June 2019, the network "quarantined" the site, meaning that the subreddit would not show up in search results and could not appear on the site's front page. In addition, anyone attempting to visit the forum would be met with a warning screen.The move comes about three weeks after Reddit published a blog post outlining changes to the social network's policies. OAKLAND, Calif. — A bust of Breonna Taylor was vandalized in Oakland, California.The Oakland Police Department is investigating after large pieces of the statue were found broken off sometime over the weekend, KGO and KTVU report.The sculpture was made by artist Lee Carson to honor the 26-year-old EMT who was shot and killed in her apartment by Louisville police officers in March. The deaths of Taylor, George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery prompted countless people across the country to take to the streets over the summer to protest police violence against people of color.Carson told KTVU that he hoped the piece would energize the Black Lives Matter movement, which seeks to eradicate white supremacy and intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities.Carson told KGO that the vandalism felt like an attack on Taylor and those fighting against racial injustice.The statue is made of clay, concrete, wood and foam, and was reportedly installed in the downtown area this month. Along with a bust of Taylor, it includes the words “say her name Breonna Taylor,” which has become a rallying cry.Carson told KGO that he intends to repair the statue as soon as possible and he may cast it in bronze this time. 1217

One day after President Donald Trump said he would leave the White House on January 20 barring a massive revolt from Electoral College voters, Trump walked back his statement on Friday.In a tweet, Trump says that President-elect Joe Biden will only be allowed in the White House if he can prove that he had 80 million votes. In America, voters cast private ballots. Once a vote is tabulated, it is no longer traced to the voter. Lawmakers put in measures such as secret ballots in the late 1800s amid an era of voter intimidation. Non-secret ballots are generally a violation of international law.“Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous ‘80,000,000 votes’ were not fraudulently or illegally obtained,” Trump tweeted. “When you see what happened in Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia & Milwaukee, massive voter fraud, he’s got a big unsolvable problem!”Biden is slated to send 306 electors on his behalf to state capitols on December 4, 36 more than the 270 needed to become president on January 20. Trump has been trying to stop Biden’s electors from casting a vote by whatever means possible.
