LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Climate Leaders Declaration and a series agreements were signed Tuesday by U.S. governors and mayor with their Chinese counterparts who attended the China-U.S. Climate Leaders Summit in Los Angeles.
The two new regulations, adopted at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Oct. 12, updated existing rules deemed incompatible with the Party following the launch of its anti-corruption drive.
A long list of 49 tangible results was produced by the two sides, with new and important progress in such areas as investment, people-to-people exchanges, climate change, and coordination and cooperation in multilateral affairs.
The two countries plan to cement their investing relationship by stepping up cooperation in high-speed railway and nuclear energy projects, Zhang said.
"As we look at the range of issues on the bilateral agenda, a high-standard BIT - with clear provisions providing equal treatment to each country's investors and a short list of exceptions - is one of the key items that could make an immediate and tangible impact for both of our economies," it continued.
