Laguna. And decided, not for financial reasons, but for happiness, peace of mind, pure lifestyle choice, decided to go smaller."Each of the tiny houses has a theme, including Farmhouse, Stargazer, and Sedona Spirit; they range from 170 sq/ft to 500 sq/ft.A customer favorite is Greenhouse, a tiny house dedicated to cannabis, conversation, and community. "We are creating a resort village here, we want people to have a certain vibration, and they're here to really get away, and they want to connect with other people on a similar type of wavelength," said Block. NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) - A furnace door was not closed while the system was being operated at a San Diego County, California crematorium Thursday, sending heavy smoke containing the ashes of human remains above the area.The problem was reported at 12:15 p.m. at the Cortez Family Crematorium at 100 W. 35th St in National City, near Interstate 5 and SR-54.National City Fire Captain Brian Krebs said the furnace was in use and the oven door was not shut, sending smoke out of the chimney and the open doors of the building.The building’s heat detectors activated the fire extinguishers, according to a funeral home employee. Firefighters said the extinguishers gave off a strong odor. There were human remains in the smoke, Krebs confirmed. The plume moved east across National City Blvd. and Broadway toward the Best Buy and Walmart shopping center, according to a witness.The crematorium resumed operations Thursday afternoon. 962

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee police are looking for the suspects involved in a “large fight” at a Wendy’s restaurant on the city’s north side.It happened on Monday around 6:15 p.m. at the restaurant.Floyd Taylor captured the fight on his cell phone -- as it escalated during the dinner rush.Taylor says he entered the Wendy’s and started ordering food. He says he saw an employee and manager arguing behind the counter and the tension started to escalate.Taylor says the manager left the store to call for help – and that’s when the punches started flying. Right now, there is no word if anyone was injured.Milwaukee Police are still investigating the incident.  673

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Over the past year, there has been an increase in drivers illegally passing school buses in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.In 2017, the Kenosha County Sheriffs Office issues 57 "failure to stop for school bus" violations. This year, the number of citations is up 70.Steve Bennett has been a bus driver at First Student Inc. in Kenosha for 11 years. It's a school bus company that services 39 schools in that county. He said when he sees a car passing the stop arm, it’s upsetting. “It’s a mix between anger and I’m terrified. What’s going to happen with my kids?” Bennet said.According to a one-day study done by the Wisconsin School Bus Association, out of 1,538 participating drivers, 363 cars were observed passing the stop arms.In Waukesha County, 242 violations were reported in 2017. Michael Comstock, manager of First Student, said his drivers report violations daily. Once a violation is observed, license plate numbers and the description of the vehicle are then handed off to authorities. “It’s a life and death decision every time they decide to drive through the red lights on a school,” said Bennett.Elizabeth Ramirez is a mother of a 4-year-old and said it’s gut-wrenching to see drivers pass through school bus stop arms. “You have to pay attention because that’s why so many things are happening nowadays. People are in such a rush to get somewhere," said Ramirez. Failure to comply with school bus stop laws could result in a 2 fine.  1515

EDEN, the Bronx — Police arrested three people Thursday in connection with the shooting death of a dad gunned down as he crossed a Bronx street with his daughter.Davon Delks, 21, Laquan Heyward, 25 and Devon Vines, 27, were all arrested on murder charges.Anthony Robinson, 29, was holding his 6-year-old daughter's hand when he was fatally shot on July 6. Video showed Robinson, hand in hand with his 6-year-old daughter, look to his left at a Bronx intersection and cross when a car paused to let them go. The driver then pulled up and someone in the vehicle opened fire, striking Robinson repeatedly.Robinson collapsed to the ground at East 170th Street and Sheridan Avenue. Video shows his daughter run as the car speeds off. 740
