BONITA, Calif. (KGTV) - Hundreds of animals evacuated due to the Valley Fire are staying at county shelters.The San Diego County Department of Animal Services and the San Diego Humane Society are working together to rescue animals and care for them until they can be reunited with their owners.Nearly 300 pets and livestock are currently staying at the San Diego County of Department of Animal Services shelter in Bonita and the Iron Oak Canyon Ranch on Campo Road in Spring Valley.All horses should be brought to the Lakeside Rodeo Arena.Alma Pereda brought her dogs to the shelter in Bonita after the hotel she was evacuated to did not accept pets."Pretty hectic trying to get what we can, rescue first your family and then your pets," Pereda.Kelly Campbell is the director of the county's Department of Animal Services."We're working to try to support folks do have teams out in the field who are scouting in areas that may have been inaccessible for evacuations, welfare checks on animals, "said Campbell.They're also trying to balance the needs of pet owners with the requirements of the pandemic."They love their animals, want to come and see them, but need to make sure not in closed quarters due to COVID," said Campbell.Household pets are still being accepted at the shelter in Bonita, but it's at capacity for large animals. BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Walmart announced Tuesday that it’s launching a new membership program called Walmart+ that can save customers money and time.Walmart+ members will receive unlimited free delivery from stores, fuel discounts and access to tools that make shopping faster, the company said in a press release.Membership will be available to all customers on Sept. 15 and it will cost a year or .95 per month, a similar price point to Amazon Prime. Current subscribers will automatically become Walmart+ members.Scan & Go: Unlock Scan & Go in the Walmart app — a fast way to shop in-store. Using the Walmart app, customers can scan their items as they shop and pay using Walmart Pay for a quick, easy, touch-free payment experience.Fuel discounts: Fill up and save up to 5 cents a gallon at nearly 2,000 Walmart, Murphy USA and Murphy Express fuel stations. BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -  A Green Country, Oklahoma couple got the opportunity of a lifetime, a free wedding from perfect strangers planned in a day."It's all because of God that all of this has happened," said Willow Creek Mansion owner Cortney Gertner.The sun set outside the Broken Arrow mansion Wednesday evening, but the excitement inside was rising. "I didn't think we would find a bride and groom," said Poppy's Garden owner Meagan Ferren.This all started with her leftover flowers from a photo shoot a few days before."She was going to throw all of the flowers away and I was like, you can't just throw all of those beautiful flowers away," Gertner said."I was like, I know it's going to make me absolutely sick to my stomach," Ferren said.But Ferren had an idea."Then she was like, no we should find somebody that wants to get married in the next day or two and I said, seriously? And she was like, yea, you should post something about that."Gertner put the post on the mansion's Facebook page offering a free wedding in just two days."Whenever I went to my Facebook app It was the first thing I'd seen," said bride Karissa Alexander, who said she thought it was hilarious."I sent it to him as a joke.""She kind of sent it to me laughing, you know. BONITA, Calif. (KGTV) - A nine hour standoff in Bonita has finally come to an end.Deputies have taken 37-year-old James Gilbert, who was wanted for a domestic violence incident, into custody.He has been booked into San Diego Central Jail on charges of making threats with a weapon, making terrorist threats and resisting arrest.Gilbert refused to come out of the home for hours.A San Diego Sheriff's Department SWAT team brought in two BearCats, made multiple flyovers with a helicopter and even called in a bomb squad.Two blocks of Allen School lane were blocked off all day due to the incident.Witnesses say a man believed to be the suspects brother tried running past the Sheriff's tape, ignoring deputies who tried to stop him.That man was handcuffed and taken into custody.Nearby Ella B. Allen Elementary School and Daly Academy were put on heightened security in light of the crisis. Children left the campuses safely after school let out. Deputies were able to get Gilbert out of the home shortly after 6 p.m.10News is monitoring developments in this story. 1072
