China is gradually getting back to work amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, as the job market slowly warmed up during the past month, a new report said.

China has set a population ceiling of 25 million and a limit on construction land of no more than 3,200 square kilometers for Shanghai through 2035, allowing the city to grow by about 800,000 new permanent residents.

China is expected to further open its market to imports from Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa, and spearhead an anti-trade protectionism campaign. In the past six months, China's imports from these countries surged 33 percent year-on-year.

China has taken measures to further reduce unnecessary restrictions and improve the policy framework on the cross-border use of the currency, including launching crude oil futures in Shanghai, easing restrictions on QFII and RQFII programs for foreign institutional investors.

China is likely to complete the 1 trillion yuan (1.3 billion) special issuance of central government bonds by the end of July as part of its efforts to mitigate the economic fallout from the novel coronavirus epidemic and ensure sufficient liquidity in the financial sector, said experts.
