(KGTV) - Two threats to shoot students at Bonita Vista High School spread in a snap on social media Sunday, scaring students and parents, making them wary to go back to class Monday."It kinda caught fire on Snapchat that's where it spread like wildfire and everyone was talking about it it was everywhere," Bonita Vista High senior Andrew Garcia said. It was a screenshot of an Instagram comment that read, "Shooting up on the campus Monday. I like some of you. Try to skip school if you value your life." Another comment below read, "I don't think you guys are gonna wanna hide in the 900s," apparently referring to the campus' "math village."Another threat coming out around 9:30 p.m. with a similar message. It's the first of its kind, replicating a 1950's town with storefronts and interactive activities.The nonprofit George G. Glenner Alzheimer's Family Centers is behind the new facility, called Glenner Town Square.The indoor, simulated urban environment uses reminiscence therapy to help those with Alzheimer's and dementia, bringing people back to a time where their memories are strongest.Glenner Center's Lisa Tyburski says while the memories experienced at the center don't last forever, they bring patients joy in the moment."They'll leave tired, they'll have had a good day," said Tyburski. "It helps in the evening with sleep, which of course will help with mood the next day."After an assessment with the facility, caregivers can drop off loved ones at the center.Services range from for a full day and per half day. The facility opens in April and will operate Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. 1029

(KGTV) - Surveillance video captured masked burglars as they went shopping inside a Chula Vista home last Friday.When Gerard arrived last weekend at his parent's home off Procter Valley Road, he was greeted with ransacked rooms. "Stressed and anxious walking through the home," said Gerard, who asked us not to use his last name.Off the master bedroom, he found a shattered sliding door and broken shutters."Shocked and nervous, because I had to tell my parents who were out of the country that their home had been broken into, and no one wants to hear that news," said Gerard.A motion activated camera revealed the intruders: two masked burglars, one with a flashlight and the other with a backpack, going from room to room around 8:30 p.m. In a second clip, they are seen emerging from the family room before heading toward a bedroom. Missing from that room is about ,000 worth of his mother's jewelry, most of which she bought herself."Worked her whole life as a nurse. Invested her money and paid for it herself. It's a lifetime of work," said Gerard.Gerard believes the intruders were no amateurs. CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. – A black bear is thanking its lucky stars that a Wisconsin family was in the right place at the right time.After a day of fishing on Sunday, Tricia Hurt told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that she, her husband and their son were returning to a dock on Marsh-Miller Lake when they spotted something strange in the water.As the family approached, they realized it was a young bear that was struggling to swim because it had a cheese ball container stuck around its head.They felt compelled to help free the bear from the tub, worrying that if they didn’t, it wouldn’t be able to make it back to short safely.So, Tricia says her son Brady maneuvered their boat while her husband leaned into the water to tug on the container. It took multiple passes, but they eventually managed to free the animal from the plastic. Tricia says the bear then swam back to shore.The family believes that if they had not helped the bear, it may have not made it to shore, because it was breathing heavily and the container had filled with water.Tricia documented their rescue efforts on video and posted it online. As of Tuesday morning, her Facebook post has been shared more than 18,000 times.The family says the bear had actually been spotted several times over the past few days and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources had been looking for it, but without any luck. 1389
