Instead, the company says it will focus on preparing Peeps for next Easter, according to Pennlive.com.Just Born suspended production of the candies last spring as the coronavirus pandemic began, before resuming limited production in May with safety protocols in place for employees.“This situation resulted in us having to make the difficult decision to forego production of our seasonal candies for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day in order to focus on meeting the expected overwhelming demand for Peeps for next Easter season, as well as our everyday candies,” the company told Pennlive.The company's other holiday treats — including Mike and Ike, and Hot Tamales — will also be missing this year, but it expects its seasonal candies to return to shelves by Halloween 2021.The Associated Press contributed to this report. 1072
