Former Fox News anchor Shepard Smith has a new landing spot after leaving the network abruptly last fall. CNBC announced that Smith will join the network and host a 7 p.m. newscast.“The News with Shepard Smith” will launch this fall, and CNBC said that Smith will also serve as the network's chief general news anchor and managing editor of the breaking news division.“I am honored to continue to pursue the truth, both for CNBC’s loyal viewers and for those who have been following my reporting for decades in good times and in bad,” Smith said in a press release.Smith was one of FOX News' original hires when the network launched in 1996. Florida voters have passed Amendment 4 which allows most Florida felons who have finished out their sentence to be able to vote in future elections.Convicted sex offender and murders will be exempt, the Sun-Sentinel reports. (AP) -- Police in Flagstaff say a group of teens killed a 23-year-old man after he allegedly inappropriately touched one of the girls involved in the killing.Flagstaff police said on Friday that Jaron James was found dead on Sept. 7 and that four teens, including two who are underage, have been arrested.Police say James was killed at a motel and that the suspects knew him. They say the group attacked James after he touched one of the suspects, a 16-year-old girl from Flagstaff.Eighteen-year-old Lawrence Sampson-Kahn and 19-year-old Kayson Russell are among the four arrested. The campaign pushes for Husker faithful to still support places that depend on football dollars. That includes bars and restaurants.Bar owner Matt Taylor says his bar has been playing old, classic Nebraska games on TV since real Cornhusker games won’t start until Oct. 24.“Normally, I think it’s the best place to watch a game including the stadium,” Taylor said of his bar Tavern on the Square.Taylor loves owning his bar, but love is a tough word for the bar business in 2020."I usually love my job, but this year has not been very fun,” Taylor said.He says while it's good there will be a football season, it's unclear what the financials will look like.“It definitely helps but it won’t be a normal game day.
