ISLAMABAD, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said here Friday that he is proud of Pakistan's brotherly relationship with China and wishes the Chinese around the world well.     Zardari was the chief guest at the National Day reception hosted by Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui at the Chinese embassy.     Replying a question by Xinhua on his arrival, Zardari said, "For the Chinese around the world, I wish them well. I wish them their independence and I applaud the success."     He also said, "I'm proud of the friendship which we have with China. And I'm proud of our brotherly relationship. And I'm with them in this moment of happiness. The people of Pakistan share the moments of happiness with the people of China."     Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Tariq Majid, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, government officials and senior diplomats from other embassies based in Islamabad were present at the reception.     The guests watched dances, songs and acrobatics performed by Chinese troops. At the end of the performance, chief guests and the Chinese ambassador went on the stage to greet the performers and had a group photo with them. 

PHUKET, Thailand, July 21 (Xinhua) -- China is willing to cooperate with the Philippines to push forward the relations between the two countries, said Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi in the meeting with his Philippine counterpart Alberto Romulo Tuesday.     The Chinese government encourages and supports competitive enterprises to invest in the Philippines, and it also promotes cooperation in areas such as agriculture and new energy, said Yang. SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Monday agreed to deepen their all-round cooperative partnership.     The agreement came at the end of a day-long foreign ministers' meeting in Shanghai, involving Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada and ROK Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Yu Myung Hwan. The three countries will build stronger strategic mutual trust, deepen and upgrade cooperation, carry out people-to-people exchanges and promote east Asia cooperation and regional peace and development, said a statement issued after the meeting. YAN'AN, Shaanxi Province, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Party cadres should always keep clean and stay away from corruption, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official said Saturday.     "Party cadres should withstand tests of the country's reform and opening-up and the Party's ruling status," said Li Yuanchao, head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.     Li, also a member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, made the remarks as the Autumn term started Saturday in China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP), China Executive Leadership Academy Jinggangshan (CELAJ) and China Executive Leadership Academy Yan'an (CELAY).     "As Party cadres are being surrounded with more and more temptations, the education on resistance against corruption must be a vital task as well as the core content of Party spirit training," Li said.     The three schools, approved by the CPC Central Committee, are national training bases in fields such as CPC history and Party building theory, for government officials, enterprise managers and army officials.     "Schools should make it an important mission during education and training to strengthen Party spirit, ideal faith and good style, so as to play a unique role in promoting Party cadres' uprightness," he said.

BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the country's top aircraft manufacturer, said Sunday total sales revenue in its auto business would reach 30 billion yuan (about 4.39 billion U.S. dollars) by 2017.     Geng Ruguang, deputy general manager of AVIC, said making big passenger vehicles has become the the corporations's guiding plan for development in its auto business.     Geng revealed the figure at a ceremony marking AVIC and its partner Volvol's new product Silver 900 series going into production line.     The series is a new type of big and luxurious passenger vehicles, 12 meters long, which could be used for road transportation, tourist reception, and military equipment.     The Silver 900 series was developed by Xi'an Silver Bus Corporation, a joint venture established in 1994 by AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industry Co. ltd, and the Swedish bus and truck maker Volvo company.     The Xi'an Silver Bus Corporation expects to produce annually 4,000 vehicles by 2014.
