She says schools should be more transparent with students, parents, and staff to help them better understand the situation and not promote panic. “We're going into a level 1 lockdown because they're serving a warrant in the neighborhood, so everyone can go, ‘OK, I’m not going to die today, probably, but we're just not going to go outside for recess,’" she says. A 2-year-old girl died Wednesday afternoon after falling into a septic tank at the Paradise Lagoons RV Resort park in Aransas Pass, Texas. The girl has been identified as Charleigh Nicole Nelson. Her father, Charlie Nelson, works in the area. He said that his wife and their three children were visiting him when the accident happened.Aransas Pass Police Department Chief Eric Blanchard said the girl's body was recovered at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, after falling 15 feet into the tank.The young girl died before rescuers could reach her. A judge has ruled that the cases against all three defendants charged with murder in the death of Ahmaud Arbery can advance to the trial court. During a probable cause hearing Thursday, Magistrate Court Judge Wallace Harrell found that there is enough evidence for the cases against Greg and Travis McMichael and William “Roddie” Bryan to proceed.According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Arbery was in the Satilla Shores neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia, when both Gregory and Travis McMichael confronted Arbery with two firearms on February 23. During the encounter, Travis McMichael shot and killed Arbery, prosecutors said.Bryan filmed the encounter, but it took nearly 10 weeks for the video to be made public.
