Someone is making death threats against a 10-year-old girl at her school in Framingham, Mass.The girl is a fifth grader at Hemenway Elementary and the two notes directed at her have now drawn the attention of Framingham Police.It was Friday morning when the Muslim youngster went to her classroom cubby and found a note calling her a “terrorist.”“She was visibly upset, she was crying,” her uncle Jamaal Siddiqui said. “That’s not what Islam teaches, and that’s not what Muslims are.”Her uncle says the principal visited each classroom urging the culprit to come forward with an apology and sent an email to parents condemning the incident.“Hate is not brought from birth, it is embedded into a human being either by parents or their surroundings,” Siddiqui said.On Tuesday morning, there was a second note, this time saying “I will kill you.”“Just the thought of that makes me feel sick to my stomach,” Siddiqui said.The principal quickly brought the superintendent and police onboard, but despite their safety concerns, the little girl’s family has not pulled her out of class.“If we take her out of school it’s just going to show that we can’t stand up to the situation,” Siddiqui said.The principal says many classmates have rallied around the student and some disgusted parents did the same.“It’s absolutely devastating and I don’t want this to happen in my child’s school at all,” one parent said.“It’s nuts basically,” another parent said. “Hard to believe this thing could happen.”So far, school officials and police have not been able to ID the handwriting or trace the notebook paper.Her family has urged the young victim to smile through it and not become bitter, but know that’s a tall order for a 10-year-old.“It’s sad, it’s sad that kids at such a young age have to deal with this,” Siddiqui said.The girl’s parents will meet with school officials and police Wednesday to discuss a safety plan going forward.The FBI announced Tuesday that hate crimes in this country are up 17 percent this year. 2017

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Police say the body of the missing mayor of South Korea's capital, Seoul, has been found. They say Park Won-soon’s body was located in hills in northern Seoul early Friday, more than seven hours after they launched a massive search for him. Park’s daughter had called police on Thursday afternoon to report him missing, saying he had given her a “will-like” message before leaving home. Police say the daughter didn’t explain the contents of the message.News reports say one of Park’s secretaries had lodged a complaint with police on Wednesday night over alleged sexual harassment.An activist and human rights lawyer, Park became the city’s first mayor to be voted into a third term last June. Seven people, including four children, have been found dead in a rural property in Western Australia, in what's believed to be the country's worst mass shooting in more than two decades.Officers were called to a residential property in Osmington, around 170 miles (270 kilometers) south of state capital Perth, in the early hours of Friday morning, where the seven bodies were discovered, said Western Australia Police Commissioner Chris Dawson.Police arrived at the property following a call from "'male person' connected to the property" shortly after 5:00 a.m. local time (5 p.m. Thursday ET), national broadcaster ABC reported.Five bodies were found inside the house, and the other two outside, close to the property. Dawson described the incident as a "tragedy" and "horrific incident."Police were treating the incident as a murder-suicide, according to ABC."It appears that gunshot wounds are there, but I don't want to go further than that... two firearms have been located," Commissioner Dawson said, according to the ABC.The ABC is reporting that it is Australia's worst mass-shooting since 1996's Port Arthur massacre, in which a lone gunman killed 35 people with a military-style semiautomatic rifle.The massacre, in Australia's southern island state of Tasmania, was the last straw for Australians, following a decade of gun massacres which had left more than 100 people dead.Just 12 days after the Port Arthur shooting, the government of Prime Minister John Howard announced nationwide gun law reform, by far the most popular initiative of his first year as Australian leader.In Friday's incident, police statement said there were "no concerns about wider public safety."Police say they are unable to share any other details and are currently looking for next of kin and friends to notify.  1816

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) -- Bike riders in Solana Beach were out in their bright pink Saturday morning to raise money for breast cancer patients. It was all part of the annual Boob Ride lead riders along the coast, some as far north as Camp Pendleton. Participants could ride for 30, 60 or 90 miles.After the ride, there was a big party at Tidewater Tavern where riders enjoyed a buffet, massages and beer. Over 200 cyclists were expected, over 300 showed up to the after party.All of the money raised goes to help breast cancer patients with meal preps, rides to appointments and other needs.  630
