(KGTV) — Police are searching for an 81-year-old man who was last seen in the Otay Ranch Mall area.Chula Vista Police says Donald Mooring was last seen around 3 p.m. near the Otay Ranch Mall on Thursday. Police add that Mooring may be suffering from the effects of dementia.Mooring is described as a black man, 5-foot 9-inches tall, and weighing about 230 pounds. (KGTV) - Surveillance video captured masked burglars as they went shopping inside a Chula Vista home last Friday.When Gerard arrived last weekend at his parent's home off Procter Valley Road, he was greeted with ransacked rooms. "Stressed and anxious walking through the home," said Gerard, who asked us not to use his last name.Off the master bedroom, he found a shattered sliding door and broken shutters."Shocked and nervous, because I had to tell my parents who were out of the country that their home had been broken into, and no one wants to hear that news," said Gerard.A motion activated camera revealed the intruders: two masked burglars, one with a flashlight and the other with a backpack, going from room to room around 8:30 p.m. In a second clip, they are seen emerging from the family room before heading toward a bedroom. Missing from that room is about ,000 worth of his mother's jewelry, most of which she bought herself."Worked her whole life as a nurse. Invested her money and paid for it herself. CINCINNATI -- Police have identified a suspect in the theft of a butterfly from the Krohn Conservatory.Jamie Revis, of Springfield Township, is wanted on a charge of theft, Cincinnati police announced Friday. Earlier, police said someone stole a blue morpho butterfly from the conservatory's butterfly show April 15.The species is native to Central and South American forests.University of Cincinnati biology professors Stephen Matter and Patrick Guerra said last week that the butterfly was likely dead, given its biological need for a warmer climate than the one Cincinnati has experienced at the time. 622

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- The man suspected of robbing a South Bay credit union was arrested following a crash Wednesday afternoon. According to Chula Vista Police, a man entered the Cal Coast Credit Union on the 300 block of East H Street around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the man approached the teller window with his hand in his pocket simulating a weapon and demanded cash from the employee. After receiving the cash, the suspect left the credit union, getting into a getaway vehicle. Police were able to locate suspect based on vehicle information provided by a customer at the credit union. Officers spotted the vehicle going eastbound on H Street and tried to pull the suspect over, but he didn’t stop instead leading police on a chase. At some point during the chase, police say the man ran a red light on Otay Lakes Road, slamming into another vehicle. Both the suspect and victim in the crash were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police haven’t yet released the name of the suspect but say he is under arrest for the bank robbery and felony evasion. 1100
