Chinese spacecraft Tiangong-1 is tumbling out of orbit above Earth, and is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere uncontrolled this weekend, the European Space Agency said. The spacecraft will re-enter Earth's atmosphere between Saturday morning and Monday morning. Tiangong-1 was at orbit roughly 200 miles above Earth after it launched in 2011. Slight atmospheric drag causes spacecrafts to decay in their altitude. As a result, spacecrafts have to conduct regular ‘reboost maneuvers’ to maintain their orbit, the European Space Agency said. Since December 2015, controllers on the ground have been unable to perform such maneuvers to keep it in orbit. Originally the plan was to control its re-entry to direct the craft into an unpopulated section of Earth. With no one able to control the spacecraft, it will tumble to the Earth somewhere between 43 degrees north and 43 south latitude. While that means much of the United States could be impacted by the falling spacecraft the size of a school bus, the European Space Agency projects that much, but not all, of the craft will break apart in the Earth's atmosphere. “Owing to the geometry of the station’s orbit, we can already exclude the possibility that any fragments will fall over any spot further north than 43oN or further south than 43oS,” says Holger Krag, Head of ESA’s Space Debris Office.The European Space Agency will be providing updates as it better projects when and where the spacecraft tumbles out of space and back to Earth.  1547

Her plan now, she said, is to "make the best of every day" and help her four children prepare for her departure.To that end, she paid a lawyer ,000 up-front to begin putting her affairs in order, handle the future custody of her children and make sure they would have a source of income after her death.After she made the payment, the line went silent. Alexander said on Monday night she hadn't consistently heard from the attorney since April 3. In the meantime, she's received incorrect documents and excuses in response to her requests for communication.As far as she can tell, "he's swamped," she said."He has a booked schedule or he can't get the other attorney on the phone or the magistrate's out," she said. "I'll call his office, and they'll say he's out of town. He'll say he's been sick. It's never his fault. I know it's not my fault. I don't know what else I can do."Attorney Cathy Cook, who is not involved in Alexander's case, said it was highly unusual for anyone practicing family law to be as uncommunicative as the attorney in question. Her office "never goes more than a week without an update" for the client, she said, and connects them with multiple lines of contact in case their primary attorney is unavailable.Alexander's doctors predicted in June she might have as little as a year left to spend with her children and make plans for their futures. She doesn't have time to waste.For clients like her, Cook said, the only remaining step is to contact the local bar association."See if they have any knowledge of anything that could be going wrong, and if they don't, then you're going to have to file what we call a grievance," she said.Doing so would take even more time that Alexander can't spare, and it could end with her back in the same position: Ill, running out of money and trying to distribute the remains of a fast-ending life."I really just want to live every day as best I can, and worry about this stuff every day … it's a burden," she said. CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A transient pleaded guilty to an arson count Monday for setting a fire in Chula Vista, one of several blazes he was arrested on suspicion of sparking.Alejandro Gonzalez, 33, is slated to be sentenced Jan. 13 to a 32-month prison term.He was initially charged with four felony counts of arson of a structure or forest involving blazes on May 24, June 14, Sept. 17 and Sept. 20, but those counts were dismissed Monday morning as part of his plea to a newly filed arson of property count.The new count is not connected with a specific fire, but Deputy District Attorney Roza Egiazarian said all the blazes he was charged with setting will be considered at his sentencing hearing.RELATED: Man tied to series of fires in Chula Vista river bottom arrestedAccording to Chula Vista police, who said about a dozen blazes were sparked at various locations throughout the city since late April, Gonzalez was arrested near the scene of a Sept. 20 brush fire.Officers spotted him "walking quickly away" from the blaze in the 1700 block of Fourth Avenue, according to police, who said he had several lighters in his possession and during questioning, "admitted to intentionally setting several brush fires in the river-bottom area over the past five months.
