EL CAJON (CNS) - A 49-year-old man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of fatally shooting a 31-year-old man in an unincorporated area near El Cajon.Daniel Christopher Allen, a resident of that unincorporated area, was booked into the San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of murdering James Owen who also lived in unincorporated El Cajon, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.The shooting was reported in the 6000 block of Stallion Oaks Road, southeast of Dehesa Road and northeast of the Sycuan Resort, around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, sheriff's Lt. Thomas Seiver said.Before deputies arrived, an acquaintance of Owen drove him about a mile and a half from the shooting scene, Seiver said.Deputies stopped the vehicle on Stallion Oaks near Dehesa and found Owen inside suffering from a gunshot wound. (KGTV) - A man and a woman were taken into custody following a carjacking and a string of robberies targeting San Diego convenient stores early Tuesday morning.The crime spree started around 1 a.m. when the couple allegedly carjacked a victim in El Cajon.Minutes later, the couple drove to a 7-Eleven store near the intersection of San Carlos Drive and Bisby Lake Avenue, police said.A male suspect armed with a handgun walked into the store while the clerk was preparing the register for the day, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle said.CRIME NEWS: Man hospitalized following deputy-involved shooting in Lemon GroveThe armed man reached over the counter and took money out the register, then the suspect ran out of the store. According to police, the suspects drove off in a car matching the description of the vehicle used in the Lake Murray incident.The couple then arrived at a third store on North Euclid in National City. The virus is typically active in humans for about two weeks, though it can last longer.The White House has refused to report when Trump last tested negative for the virus, but Trump announced his positive test on Friday, meaning he may be contagious for about another week.White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said on Wednesday that Trump would like to begin working from the Oval Office and that White House staff would implement safety precautions to make that happen. The CDC recommends those who are infected with the virus remain quarantined.Trump also falsely said Thursday that he's now "immune" to COVID-19."Remember, when you catch it, you get better, and then you're immune, you know?"
