NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Sarah Fuller has become the first woman to score in a Power Five conference football game by kicking an extra point. The goalkeeper for Vanderbilt’s Southeastern Conference women’s soccer champs got her chance on the Commodores' third drive of the game. Fuller, one of three kickers on the depth chart, came out for the extra point that tied the game at 7 late in the first quarter. She put the ball through the uprights and celebrated by pulling her first in before slapping high-fives with teammates with her family celebrating in the stands. An official gave her the ball. Two weeks ago, she became the first woman to appear in a Power 5 football game in a game against Missouri with a kickoff. There have been two previous female Division I college football players, Katie Hnida for New Mexico and April Goss for Kent State.Fuller is coming off the college soccer season, playing in nine games for Vanderbilt. Last month, Fuller helped Vandy’s women’s soccer team to an SEC title by defeating Arkansas 3-1. Fuller had three saves in the match.Fuller is also using the opportunity to raise funds for charity. The group dropped the word "Antebellum" from their name because of its ties to slavery. But blues singer Anita White, who has been releasing and performing music under that name for years, complained publicly that the band never reached out to her. Negotiations between the parties broke down. The lawsuit seeks the court to declare that the band's use of the trademark "Lady A" does not infringe on White's alleged trademark rights of the same name. MONTEREY, Calif. (KGTV) - A student was stabbed in the chest by another student Monday at North Monterey County Middle School, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department said.The attack happened in the quad of the Castroville school about 8:30 a.m., just before classes started, investigators said.The victim and the attacker are both 12 years old, said Deputy Joseph Banuelos. One of the boys stabbed the other with a six-inch kitchen knife, according to the deputy.A staff member approached the attacker and distracted him while another staff member came up behind the boy and tackled him.When deputies arrived, they arrested the attacker, who was sitting in the principal’s office.The school was locked down for an hour while a medical helicopter arrived to take the victim to a San Jose trauma center.The victim’s injuries are life threatening, Banuelos said.  880
