SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego woman who was shot at the Route 91 music festival in Las Vegas is making great strides in her recovery.Tina Frost and her boyfriend were with eight friends when Stephen Paddock opened fire. Frost was the only one of her group who was shot. The bullet went into her eye.Her family says the recovery has been difficult but that she continues to power forward with her therapies.Frost’s mother posted an update on the GoFundMe page indicating Frost has walked without assistance, thrown a ball, baked cookies, and painted an eye patch for herself.Amy Klinger, a close family friend, says Frost's strength and resilience is no surprise."She is not going to let anything get in her way of getting back to her normal, happy, and healthy life," said Klinger.  "It was so amazing, I walked into the room and she was talking with her physical therapist and because her sentences were so clear, I did forget for a minute she had not been speaking."A lifelong soccer player, Frost has even been able to kick a soccer ball to her dad in the hallway."The fact that they did say at the very beginning, let's see what happens in a year, and it's only less than five weeks out and she's walking and she's talking, she's just, the progress has been amazing and is a testament to who she is," said Klinger.Klinger believes the worldwide support and power of positivity has been a factor in the healing, for both Frost and her family."Just knowing there's this enormous community, Team Tina, that's out there behind the family, it keeps their spirits up and keeps them positive because this is a lot to do deal with," said Klinger.Frost has a big surgery in the upcoming weeks where doctors will begin facial reconstruction. 1749

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A unique way to watch movies outdoors is coming to San Diego's waters.Floating Cinema is coming to San Diego on Sept. 2 - 6, organizers say. Tickets will go on sale here.The cinema will include 12 to 24 mini boats that can hold up to eight people per boat. Tickets will require individuals to purchase the entire boat to make sure groups are seated with friends and family only, and to allow for distancing between boats.Throughout the week, the cinema will screen a mix between golden oldies and new releases that will be announced when tickets go on sale. Popcorn will be offered for free, while other movie snacks and drinks will be made available for purchase.Ticket options and movie screening details will be released closer to the event. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Airbnb says it has cracked down on 17 listings in San Diego County that have received complaints or have violated policies surrounding parties.The rental booking company says the listings have either been suspended or removed from its platform following Airbnb's ban on parities and events at listings until further notice.The listings disciplined were located in the San Diego, Escondido, La Mesa, Clairemont Mesa, Linda Vista, Mission Bay Park, North Park, Pacific Beach, Peninsula, Southeastern San Diego, and Uptown.RELATED: San Diego shuts down Bankers Hill Airbnb ‘party house’ over COVID-19 concerns, other violations"In this current environment, it’s more important than ever before to prevent large parties and gatherings, and we support the efforts of local officials to put a stop to this irresponsible behavior," said John Choi, Airbnb’s Director of Public Policy in San Diego. The house-sharing company has also made it more challenging for some guests under the age of 25 from booking rentals in their region unless they have a number of positive reviews. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- About 500 people turned out for a school safety community forum for the Poway Unified School District Tuesday night. Poway Unified School District put on the event so parents could learn what the district is doing to address and school and student safety.  The district asked parents to send in questions ahead of the forum. The forum, held at the Mt.
