BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao said here on Friday that he hoped China and the European Union (EU) would enhance its dialogue and consultation to ensure the healthy and stable development of the China-EU all-round strategic partnership.     Hu made the remarks in a meeting with EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.     He said it was not only in line with both sides' fundamental interests, but also conducive to the peace, stability and development of the world to further cement and step up China-EU ties under current circumstances. SINGAPORE, July 23 (Xinhua) -- The first informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Six-Party Talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue concluded here on Wednesday with "very meaningful results", Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said.     In a news briefing after the close-door talks on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Ministerial Meeting, Yang said that the Six-Party Talks have "very meaningful results", adding that they exchanged views and deepened understanding and expressed the will of continued pushing forward the Six-Party Talks further.     Yang said, "with joint efforts, the six parties agreed that the initial success has been achieved" and the informal talks "made useful preparation for the formal Six-Party Ministerial Talks in early day".     The Chinese foreign minister said the six parties reaffirmed they will earnestly fulfill their commitment to the signed joint statements and related documents.     Yang said all agreed the Six-Party Talks are an important platform for exchanging views and enhancing understanding, adding that the six parties should continue to enhance their exchanges so as to "achieve mutual benefit and win-win progress". "You have created miracles of life. People across the country are thinking of you and hoping you to recover as early as possible. Let's believe no difficulty will stop us once we join hands," he said.     Wu thanked doctors and nurses at the hospital for working day and night to save lives.     He then went to the Chengdu Railway Station, which has become an important distribution center of relief materials from home and abroad.     Wu talked with volunteers working at the station. "Coming from every corner of the country, you are an important force in the quake relief efforts. I hope relief materials could be delivered to thousands of needy people through your hard work."
