It also struck a cord on the corporate playing field, including commissioned works for Nike, Disney, and Harley-Davidson.If you've lived in San Diego for a while, there's a good chance you've seen Scrojo's poster art — even if in passing. The San Diego Chargers, Belly Up in Solana Beach, The Casbah, and House of Blues have all featured his artistry. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Seven people were hospitalized Tuesday after two multi-vehicle crashes on Interstate 5 in the Torrey Pines area.The crashes were reported on southbound I-5 near State route 56 just before 1 p.m. Two car crashes — one four-car crash and one three-car crash — occurred in the area, forcing a complete shut down of I-5 for about an hour, according to California Highway Patrol officer Jim Bettencourt.At one point, the CHP's incident log listed as many as a dozen vehicles possibly involved in the crash. The two crashes caused a traffic backup extending to Loma Santa Fe Dr. in Solana Beach.Seven people were taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital with moderate injuries, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesperson Mónica Mu?oz.The cause of the crashes was not immediately known. 805
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Singer-songwriter Alessa Cara joined Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson this week in sending condolences to the family of the 12-year-old girl and her mother killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 805.Answering a Twitter message from Angelo Pizarro, whose sister, Aryana, and mother, Aileen, were killed in the I-805 crash, Cara told him to check for a private message. Cara added, "I'm so sorry. All my love to you and your family." 464
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Several business owners on University Avenue in Hillcrest say they were vandalized sometime late Tuesday night. The owners think the suspects shot at their windows with a type of pellet gun. At least three businesses had windows either shattered or broken. Benjamin Nicholls, with the Hillcrest Business Association says he feels these businesses were targeted because of the time of year. San Diego Pride is 9 days away. Samir Hannosh owns The Glass Door Cafe, which just opened a week ago. His window replacement could cost him anywhere from ,000-,000. He says he hopes the businesses weren't targeted for being in the LGBTQ neighborhood, adding that all business will be ready and proud for the upcoming Pride celebration.The San Diego Police Department says they are investigating and working to find the person or persons responsible.
