Andrea Constand, the key witness in the retrial of Bill Cosby on indecent assault charges, testified Friday morning that she drank wine and took three blue pills at Cosby's urging in January 2004, then lost consciousness and, sometime later, was "jolted awake" to find the entertainer sexually assaulting her."Were you able to verbalize and tell him to stop?" state prosecutor Kristen Feden asked Constand."No," she replied. He has pleaded not guilty.Leading up to Constand's recollection of the alleged assault, the former Temple University employee traced her relationship with Cosby, whom she said she met while handling operations of the school's women's basketball team. Cosby was an active Temple alumnus.Constand offered brief details of seven social encounters she had with Cosby before the alleged assault, including one in which she said he put his hand on her thigh and another when she said he tried to "unbutton my button on my pants.""I mentioned that I wasn't here for that, and he respectfully stopped and we never talked about it again," Constand said of the latter incident. "He got the picture."After that encounter -- but before the early 2004 incident -- "I had no question about my ability to fend off a person that was hitting on me or making a sexual advance on me," Constand testified.Constand began her testimony Friday as prosecutors this week opened their case: by acknowledging that Cosby paid Constand .38 million as part of a civil settlement. Anita Hall, along with the Hollywood Commission, will launch a new anonymous reporting platform next year to hold serial harassers in the movie industry accountable.Hill, who made history in October 1991 when she testified before Congress about the alleged sexual harassment she experienced when she was an aide by then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.Twenty-nine years later, Hill is still finding ways to address the abuse and harassment women still face today.The Hollywood Commission, founded by entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw and Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy and Hill chairs, recently spearheaded a survey that found survivors want to track harassment and abuse in the workplace.According to the survey, 93% of the 9,630 anonymous current and former workers in Hollywood said they wanted "technology for victims to create a time-stamped record" that would track harassment and abuse in the workplace.After its findings, the commission announced in September that by the first quarter of 2021, they would launch a cross-industry anonymous reporting platform that would help identify abusers.The platform would also allow users to ask questions or raise concerns through a two-way anonymous messaging system."For too long in Hollywood, there have been 'open secrets' about the harassment perpetrated on workers by powerful people who are able to successfully evade accountability for their actions," said Hill in the press release. "With this survey, we have identified the most vulnerable workers in Hollywood and the resources and systems that will provide support and a safety net for them. Our expectation is that these tools will be the foundation to build a new era of transparency and accountability for all workers in the entertainment industry."According to the press release, the commission will also train 450 entertainment workers through a bystander intervention training program to teach them how to intervene if they see abuse happening. 2016

As businesses across the country deal with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Country Time Lemonade is making sure the country's "littlest entrepreneurs" get the same help.The Littlest Bailout is an economic relief program aimed at helping kids start lemonade stands. Kids who are 14 and younger can get a 0 "stimulus check," which comes in the form of a prepaid card.Country Time says the money is to help kids "preserve the values of lemonade stands, honest work, and entrepreneurship."To apply, parents must upload an essay, 250 words or less, that answers the question, "How would your child use their stimulus check to juice the economy?"Parents must also upload a picture of the lemonade stand sign their child/children were going to use. The limit is one entry per household.According to the official rules, the company plans to give out 1,000 of the prepaid cards.There is no purchase necessary and the program ends on Aug. 12. Well now, you can — at least what's been constructed in Anaheim thus far.Disneyland's "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" expansion is slated to open next year and drone footage captured by the park shows the land taking shape.Steel frames of the galactic planet of Batuu have started to tower over the park. An Arizona resident captured a dangerous encounter between a bobcat and rattlesnake earlier this week. The video taken by Laura Lucky in Scottsdale shows the pair facing off along a sidewalk. The bobcat paws and bites at the snake as it tries to slither away and, at times, strike back.
