(KGTV) -- A suspect is in custody for the fatal shooting of a man in the Dehesa area late Thursday evening, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.Detectives identified the suspect as 49-year-old Daniel Christopher Allen who was arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail for one count of murder Friday evening.Sheriff’s officials said the incident happened in the 6000 block of Stallion Oaks Road at around 11 p.m.ABC 10News learned deputies were dispatched to the area after a woman reported her boyfriend had been shot.Responding emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the man -- who was not identified -- died at the scene.Details on what led to the shooting remain under investigation. 747

DENVER (AP) — A couple convicted of criminal charges in the so-called balloon boy hoax that fascinated the country more than a decade ago were pardoned Wednesday by the governor of Colorado.Dozens of rescue crews scrambled to save the 6-year-old boy after Richard and Mayumi Heene reported he had floated away in a homemade UFO-shaped silver helium balloon in 2009.According to the Associated Press, authorities said the couple staged the incident because they wanted publicity to pitch reality TV shows.But the child was never in the balloon. Data shows the number of prison inmates testing positive for the coronavirus soared well past the 50,000 mark this week. The increase is a sign that recent outbreaks are threatening to undo control measures put in place earlier in the pandemic. At the end of June, the total number of coronavirus cases among prisoners had reached at least 52,649, an increase of 8% from the week before. People who insist you smoke outside, people that freak out about paraphernalia sitting around," Green says of his issues with prior roommates.That's why Angeliki Gousetis created 420 Friendly Apartments — a Facebook group connecting fellow marijuana smokers who are looking for roommates with similar interests.The group doesn't find a place to rent. Dan Garfield, an attorney who specializes in cannabis law, says "it’s just as difficult to find a weed-friendly landlord as it is to find a tobacco-friendly landlord."
