SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – One person is dead following a shooting at a Midway-area adult store, according to police.The shooting happened around 1:45 p.m. on the 3600 block of Midway Drive at Kemper Street, near the back of the Home Depot.When they arrived, authorities found the body of a 65-year-old woman inside the store. The woman had trauma to her upper body, according to police. Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was reportedly assaulted while inside the business.The possible suspect was described as a white man last seen wearing a navy blue shirt and navy blue pants. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Officials with Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar announced Saturday that a second Marine has tested positive for coronavirus.Capt. Matthew Gregory told 10News that the patient is currently being isolated and receiving medical support aboard the base."The air station is currently conducting a thorough contact investigation to determine who may have had contact with the Marine and notify them of the situation," officials said.The identity of the Marine is being withheld due to privacy restrictions, but Gregory said the Marine resides on base and was not on leave."The Marine self-reported to the Miramar medical clinic with symptoms and was ultimately transferred to Naval Medical Center San Diego for testing," said Gregory.The news comes after it was reported Thursday that a Marine stationed at MCAS Miramar had tested presumptive positive for coronavirus after returning from leave in Washington state. The patient was visiting family which is where officials believe he contracted the virus, officials on base familiar with the matter told 10News.Both cases are currently in isolation and being quarantined in an empty barracks that was designated to treat potential cases of Covid-19, according to Gregory. "Both are fine and doing well," said Gregory.MCAS Miramar is one of four bases outside of California used as quarantine sites for individuals returning from overseas, including U.S. citizens that were evacuated from Wuhan last month and passengers aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship that was brought to Oakland last week. The quarantined passengers are being treated by staff with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.Neither of the two infected Marines had any contact with the cruise ship passengers, according to Gregory.Gregory noted that MCAS Miramar officials had taken measures earlier this week to prepare for potential cases. He said the base implemented similar practices used by the CDC to treat service personnel."We're using the same protocols," said Gregory. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More than half of the San Diego-based breweries that participated in a fundraiser to help Camp Fire victims say they've completed their donation on time, according to research by the 10News team.In December, Sierra Nevada brewing asked breweries across the nation to brew "Resilience IPA" as a way to make money for the Butte Strong Fund.Sierra Nevada offered to provide the recipe and work with suppliers to get the ingredients donated. All the local brewers had to do was brew and sell the beer, and donate 100% of the proceeds to the fund.According to Sierra Nevada's Resilience IPA website, more than 1,400 breweries across the country signed up. That includes 43 in San Diego County.Sierra Nevada asked the brewers to finish selling Resilience IPA by April 30 and complete their donation by May 14.In an email sent to brewers on May 21, Sierra Nevada said that nearly half of the breweries still hadn't completed their donation.10News reached out to all 43 breweries in San Diego that took part in the effort to see if they're living up to their end of the fundraiser. We also asked how much money they were able to donate.Of the 43 San Diego breweries we called or emailed, 29 told us they had finished their donation and sent in a check. Those breweries sent more than 7,000 combined. Three breweries told us they haven't been able to finalize their donation. Eleven breweries have yet to respond to our questions.For Societe Brewery CEO Doug Constantiner, helping Camp Fire victims was personal."One of my really good friends lost his house in the fire," Constantiner says. "When we saw the email come through, there was no question about it. We knew we were on board and signed up right away."Societe brewed 20 barrels and raised ,000."I think people really got the message what the Resilience IPA was brewed for and were willing to put their dollars behind it, knowing it was going to a good cause," says Constantiner.San Diego-based AleSmith Brewing made a smaller, two-keg batch, but still raised ,400. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect in a Serra Mesa stabbing that left two people in critical condition Saturday night.Officers responded around 7:51 p.m. to a call of a brawl outside of a house party on the 8400 block of Neva Avenue, police said. At least two people were located with stab wounds to the torso.A resident told 10News described hearing people fighting outside his home. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person is dead and another person is facing life-threatening injuries after a pair of separate crashes involving Bird scooters Friday and Saturday.The first incident happened just before 9 p.m. Friday in Hillcrest. San Diego Police said a 42-year-old woman had been riding westbound in the 1200 block of University Ave. in a bike lane when, for unknown reasons, she overturned while on her Bird scooter and hit her head.The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the woman was not wearing a helmet and had been drinking.In the second incident, a man was riding on a Bird scooter southbound in the 1400 block of Third Ave. when he was hit from behind by a vehicle just before 4 a.m., Chula Vista Police said.26-year-old Esteban Antonio Ramon Galindo died shortly after being transported to the UC San Diego Medical Center, according to police. It's not clear whether Ramon Galindo was wearing a helmet when he was hit.Police said the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperating with police. The cause of the crash was still under investigation Saturday. Investigators did not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. 1208
