In his keynote address at the first FOCAC summit held in Africa, President Xi Jinping outlined a raft of measures to revitalize Sino-Africa ties in key areas like trade, infrastructure, finance and investments, health and security.
During the meeting, the two leaders vowed to cement and advance the two countries' traditional friendship forged during the revolutionary era, and augment cooperation in aspects ranging from economic exchanges, development strategies, party-to-party ties and coordination on international affairs.
"China has become Africa's premier investments and trading partner. We welcome China to help develop our industries and improve intra Africa trade," Mugabe remarked.
