(KGTV) -- Three Camp Pendleton Marines were stabbed during a fight Saturday in San Clemente, a sheriff’s official confirms.The fight happened around 1 a.m. Saturday in a parking lot on the 200 block of El Camino Real.The three Marines, two aged 21 and the other a 23-year-old were involved in a fight with two men and a woman.RELATED: Woman finds Marine Corps ring on Florida's Siesta Key, hopes to find ownerDuring the fight, one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed all three Marines. SAN DIEGO (AP) — An animal rights group is asking the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate SeaWorld over allegations that it misled investors about injuries during its dolphin shows.People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said Thursday it had sent a letter to the SEC saying the marine theme park had lied when it said no animals are injured during the shows.The SEC declined comment.The group known as PETA is a shareholder in the company and alleges that SeaWorld trainers have caused injuries when they stand on the dolphins.It says veterinarians have found wounds and scars on dolphins at SeaWorld parks in California, Texas and Florida.SeaWorld said in response that it treats its animals well and has rescued thousands. SAN DIEGO — With in-restaurant dining now outlawed amid the Coronavirus outbreak, a South Park neighborhood bistro has transformed itself into a local grocer where shoppers can get produce, milk, eggs, and - yes - toilet paper.Ownership at Eclipse Chocolate made the move this week to help the business get through a time when they can't carry out the core of their business - in house dining. "We were already selling our own chocolate, we're also selling local food brands, we do that all the time, so really it was just a matter of rearranging our own furniture," said Daniel Youngren, a co-owner of the eatery. Restaurants across San Diego County have been hit hard due to the restrictions, with many either shutting down or offering discounts for takeout. More than 126,000 San Diegans work in the industry, which has seen employees either lose their jobs or have their hours cut.Youngren says Eclipse Chocolate is no exception, with a number of its 20 employees seeing fewer hours and applying for unemployment assistance. Still, he says this allows the restaurant to make up at least a portion of the revenue lost and keep some workers busy, while also fulfilling its mission of getting food to people who are hungry.On Thursday, Eclipse Chocolate had used the tables from its dining room to offer apples, tomatoes, onions, cauliflower, to name a few. SAN DIEGO — (KGTV) -- Democrat Sara Jacobs continues to hold a double-digit lead over Democrat Georgette Gomez in the race for California's 53rd Congressional District, according to a new scientific poll.The ABC-10News Union-Tribune scientific poll shows Jacobs leading Gomez 40 percent to 27 percent, with 33 percent still undecided. The two Democrats are vying to replace Susan Davis, who is retiring in the central and south San Diego district after nearly 20 years. The poll shows Jacobs, granddaughter of Qualcomm founder Irwin Jacobs, leading in support from those who describe themselves as liberal, moderate, conservative, and very conservative. Gomez, currently the City Council president, is generating most of her support from voters who describe themselves as very liberal."With only two weeks left to go until the election, Georgette Gomez is running out of time to close the gap on Sara Jacobs," said Thad Kousser, a political scientist at UC San Diego.Kousser said the closer the election gets, the harder it will be for Gomez to catch up, because of the increase in mail-in ballots and early voting. The poll shows 26 percent of the respondents already sent in their ballots. Kousser said, however, that Jacobs still has not reached the 50 percent support threshold, leaving the door open for Gomez, who will have to convince most of the undecideds to support her. SAN DIEGO — It appears the Congressional seat vacated by Republican Duncan Hunter will remain in Republican hands, according a new scientific poll.The ABC-10 Union-Tribune scientific poll shows Republican Darrell Issa leading Democrat Ammar Campa-Najjar 51 percent to 40 percent, with 9 percent undecided. The poll, released Tuesday, has a margin of error of 5.7 points. It comes after the two prior polls showed the candidates in a virtual tie for the 50th Congressional District, which comprises most of East County and stretches into southern Riverside County. The shift came because independents moved to support Issa. Last month, the poll showed Campa-Najjar leading Issa in independents by 13 points. Tuesday's poll showed a major swing, with Issa leading among independents by 14 points. That's a 27-point swing. "In the end, independents in red-leaning area tend to be more red leaning, vice versa for blue-leaning areas, and so it's not surprising that Darrell Issa, as we get closer to the election, is bringing home these independents out in East County, San Diego," said Thad Kousser, political scientist at UC San Diego.The 50th District is the county's last in which Republicans outnumber Democrats in registration, giving Issa the advantage.In an interview Tuesday, Issa said he was traveling the district from Temecula to Jamul, meeting voters with social distancing.
