Fewer people are choosing to live in senior housing amid the pandemic. Occupancy has gone down more than 2.5% for two quarters in a row.A trade group for housing providers looked at numbers from April through September of this year and found the senior housing sector is experiencing the largest drop in occupancy on record.“We have heard from people who, you know, their first priority is to get older parents out of more hazardous locations, such as nursing homes, and when they are looking for options in terms of where to move them, part of the option of course is to bring them into their home,” said Danielle Arigoni, Director of AARP Livable Communities.Arigoni says the financial benefits of living in a multi-generational home are getting some people to think about it during the pandemic. But others are avoiding it because of concerns about COVID-19 exposure risks for older family members.Arigoni says there is a renewed interest in accessory dwelling units. FREDERICK, Colo. -- A Frederick husband and father is behind bars in the Weld County Jail, booked early Thursday morning for the disappearance of his pregnant wife and two young daughters.According to two law enforcement officials, Christopher Watts, 33, has confessed to killing Shanann?Watts, 34, and their two daughters — 3-year-old Celeste and 4-year-old Bella. Officials believe they know where the bodies are.Watts and her daughters were reported missing out of Frederick on Monday. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a missing-endangered alert for the three on Tuesday. A day later, the Federal Bureau of Investigation joined in the search.Just after midnight Thursday, an official with the Frederick Police Department said they had made an arrest "in connection to the missing person's case" involving Shanann Watts and her two girls. Officials said they were awaiting charges for the suspect, who will be held at the Weld County Jail for the time being.Police declined to comment further on the investigation. Watts was 15 weeks pregnant. Scott Walker and steer the state back to the left after eight years of Republican rule.First, though, the party will have to use Tuesday's primary to sort through its own crowded field of little-known candidates to find a nominee to oppose Walker.Tuesday's primaries in two key Upper Midwestern states -- Wisconsin and Minnesota -- will kick off Democrats' midterm push to capitalize on President Donald Trump's unpopularity and wrest back the dominant positions they once held in the states.The two states will join Ohio, Michigan and Illinois on the list of Midwestern battlegrounds with governor's offices on the ballot this fall that Democrats believe they can win.Walker, who frustrated Democrats in 2010, rolled back union rights in 2011, survived a 2012 recall election, and won again in 2014, looks vulnerable this year.
