ADDIS ABABA, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopian Minister of Finance and Economic Development Sufian Ahmed and a Chinese delegation led by Liu Liange, deputy president of Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank), on Monday discussed projects financed by the EximBank here in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.The two sides exchanged ideas on ways of enhancing cooperation in infrastructure development and other sectors. Speaking at the discussion, Sufian said the two countries have been enjoying good relations in all sectors.He said China has forged good relations with the African continent in general and Ethiopia in particular."Particularly the relations between the two countries are increasing from time to time...We also thank the supporting hand of the Chinese government and the Chinese institutions. GUIYANG, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were killed and 34 others injured in an explosion that ripped through an Internet cafe in southwest China's Guizhou Province Saturday night, according to local police.The explosion occurred at around 10:30 p.m. in an Internet cafe in the downtown area of the Kaili City of Miao-Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Qiandongnan, said Guizhou's provincial public security department.Victims have been pulled out of the debris and the injured rushed to hospitals, said the department.Rescue workers at the scene said the powerful blast had turned the cafe into "complete ruins" and also destroyed windows of nearby residential buildings.The police are investigating the cause of the explosion and search and rescue work is still underway.

BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- A seminar on how to improve China's multi-party cooperation and political consultation mechanism under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened here Tuesday.The seminar was held by the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) with the attendence of 251 national political advisors.Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, met with the 251 advisors.Wang Gang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, told the participants to the seminar that the top political task of the CPPCC for now and a future period is to study and implement the guiding principles of the 5th plenum of the 17th CPC Central Committee, which concluded last month.The seminar will last four days.
