(KGTV) -- Tuesday, SpaceX launchged several satellites into orbit that will replace a satellite network and monitor climate change. The Iridium-6/GRACE-FO satellites were launched just before 1 p.m. from Vandenberg Air Force Base. For this particular mission, SpaceX launched five Iridium NEXT satellites as part of the company's campaign to replace the world's largest commercial satellite network. A total of eight Iridium NEXT launches are planned with the company that will send into orbit 75 new satellites. Also on board the Falcon 9 rocket will be satellites that will monitor the movement of earth's mass for NASA and the German Research Centre for Geosciences.Watch the launch in the player below:  775

(KGTV) – National City Police found Tuesday a student-to-student threat at a South Bay elementary school was not credible.The alleged threat by a John A Otis Elementary student to another student was investigated, though not further details could be offered due to student privacy laws, according to National School Distict Superintendent Leighangela Brady."Students informed us of the alleged threat, and based on the information provided we took immediate action to investigate," Brady said. "This information came to our attention becase a student spoke up. I am grateful for the students' proactive efforts and self-confidence to speak up."No further details regarding the incident were immediately released. 720

According to Cal Fire, the Kincade Fire in Northern California has so far burned 75,415 acres as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. The blaze also destroyed 124 buildings and left two people injured. So far, the Kincade Fire is 15 percent contained. In Southern California, the Getty Fire has scorched 656 acres and is also 15 percent contained as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. (KGTV) — Nearly 500 people have been banned from Delta flights after refusing to wear facial coverings in accordance with the company's coronavirus policy.The airlines said in an internal memo obtained by ABC News that at least 460 people have been added to a "no-fly list" for not wearing a mask. Airlines companies agreed in June to ban passengers who refused to wear face coverings, CNN reported. Delta's mask requirement went into effect for passengers on May 4."Wearing a mask is among the simplest and most effective actions we can take to reduce transmission, which is why Delta has long required them for our customers and our people. As of this week, we’ve added 460 people to our no-fly list for refusing to comply with our mask requirement," according to an internal memo to employees from CEO Ed Bastian, ABC News reported.In August, Delta said it had banned about 270 passengers since the pandemic began.Earlier this month, the Department of Defense released the results of a 6-month study that claimed the risk of contracting COVID-19 on a flight were virtually 0% if all passengers wore masks. Brad Sherman, (D-CA), said Thursday he will reintroduce articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, the LA Times reported.The articles of impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors were cosponsored by fellow Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas. Sherman originally filed articles of impeachment in July 2017 claiming the president had obstructed justice in the Russian investigation."There is no reason it shouldn’t be before the Congress," Sherman told the LA Times.
