Chad Daybell, the husband of a woman whose children have been missing since September, appeared in court on Wednesday after two sets of human remains were found on his property.During Wednesday's court appearance, prosecutor Rob Wood said the remains were those of 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan, both of whom have been missing since September.Kay Woodcock, JJ's grandmother, also confirmed to East Idaho News that one set of the remains are those of her grandson's.Police have not yet publicly confirmed the identity of the remains.Daybell faces two counts of evidence destruction, alteration or concealment. She was arrested in Hawaii in connection with her children's disappearance on Feb. 20 and was extradited back to Idaho. She remained jailed despite several attempts to lower her bond.JJ and Tylee went missing in September, shortly after Daybell and Vallow married. Daybell's former wife, Tammy, died of what was believed to be natural causes shortly before Daybell and Vallow married. In a statement released by investment banker Houlihan Lokey, co-owner Andrew Alexander said a sale presents the opportunity for Second City to continue to succeed well into the future. Second City suspended all its shows and classes in early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic until further notice. CAPE YORK, Australia – Australian scientists say they’ve discovered a massive new coral reef that’s taller than the Empire State Building.The scientists were aboard a research vessel exploring the sea when they found the detached structure in the Great Barrier Reef last week, according to a press release from the Schmidt Ocean Institute.The institute says the “blade-like” reef is the first to be discovered in over 120 years.On Sunday, the institute’s team conducted a dive using an underwater robot to explore the new reef and learned that it's more than 500 meters high, the base is about 1.5 kilometers wide and it rises to its shallowest depth of only 40 meters below the sea surface.The newly discovered reef adds to the seven other tall detached reefs found in the area since the late 1800s.“This unexpected discovery affirms that we continue to find unknown structures and new species in our ocean,” said Wendy Schmidt, co-founder of Schmidt Ocean Institute. “The state of our knowledge about what’s in the ocean has long been so limited. Thanks to new technologies that work as our eyes, ears and hands in the deep ocean, we have the capacity to explore like never before. New oceanscapes are opening to us, revealing the ecosystems and diverse life forms that share the planet with us.”This isn’t the institute’s first big discovery of the year, though. CHANDLER, Ariz. - A woman in the East Valley of Arizona was stung by bees more than 200 times and a few fellow runners just happened to be in the right place--and the right time--to help.Usually cooler weather keeps bees away, but with more trees and flowers in bloom after the recent rain, experts say the bees are sticking around."I was taking my dog out for a walk, it's a normal route," said Marisa Brazil.Her daily routine along Paseo Trail in Chandler took a terrifying turn Monday morning."She was starting to flail her arms and I kind of looked at my best friend, Julie, and said, 'she's either having a really good time or something's happening,'" Brazil said.It did not take long for both women to realize something terrible was happening to the runner ahead of them on the trail."She was really screaming, like loud," said Julie Sternberg. The trained lifeguard ran to help while Brazil called 911."I tried to run up the other side and then some bees came at me," Sternberg said.Sternberg was stung on her head as the bees forced her back. She then saw two other strangers battling their way forward."They kept retreating. So at that point once I figured out there was bees, I figured out that's why. I saw one guy kept moving back," said Sternberg. "She was still screaming the whole entire time, so it was pretty scary," said Brazil.First responders eventually took over. The woman who was stung posted to Facebook from her hospital bed, thanking the strangers who tried to help. The woman who was stung is expected to recover.
