"Kora has since been returned to her habitat in Asia Quest, where she will have the opportunity to reunite with her cubs when she wakes. Her care team will continue their overnight watch to ensure they continue to do well, and red panda father, General Tso, will have the opportunity to join them in the morning."The zoo said that the panda didn't pose a threat to the public, but was “eager” to find her.The zoo said that it had moved all of its Asia Quest animals to indoor habitats as officials continue to scour the zoo. The panda had not been seen since Tuesday evening.The red panda is roughly the size of a racoon, and is not a threatening animal. The four former police officers who were involved in an arrest that led to the death of George Floyd will asked a judge Friday that their cases be tried separately.In a hearing scheduled on Friday local time in Minneapolis, attorneys for Derek Chauvin, J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao asked Judge Peter Cahill that it will be "impossible" to evaluate each individuals' actions "in a vacuum," according to the Associated Press.According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, prosecutors opposed the requests, noting that witnesses and Floyd's family members are likely to be "traumatized" by multiple trials. They also argued that the "interests of justice" necessitate a single trial."Here, all four Defendants worked together to murder Floyd: Chauvin, Kueng, and Lane pinned Floyd face-down, while Thao stopped the crowd from intervening, enabling the other Defendants to maintain their positions. Defendants also discussed and coordinated their actions throughout the incident," prosecutors wrote in a court filing, according to The Associated Press.The Associated Press also reports that the request by the defendants indicates that the officers will seek to blame each other for Floyd's death. He did grant their request that four attorneys for the prosecution be dismissed from the case.Cahill said Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman and the three other attorneys should be dismissed from the case because they discussed autopsy results with the medical examiner, according to ABC.Defense attorneys have also filed a motion to dismiss the case, but the Star-Tribune reports that the judge is unlikely to discuss that motion Friday.Chauvin has been charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The CDC is considering changing its quarantine guidelines for those who have been in close contact with someone who is infected with the coronavirus.Currently, those who have been in close contact with someone infected with the virus would be advised to quarantine for 14 days. Possible new guidance would shorten the quarantine period to 10 days. At the end of the 10-day period, a test would be need to end quarantine.In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Adm. Brett Giroir, the assistant secretary for health at Health and Human Services, explains why a 10-day quarantine might be more effective at getting more compliance with the guidance."People are much more likely to listen to a 10-day quarantine than they are a 14-day quarantine,” Giroir said. “If we can shorten it safely with most risk because we have a quarantine plus a test, we have a lot of tests available now, that might improve our public health responses.”Giroir stressed that final guidelines have not been approved, and the current guidance still calls for a 14-day quarantine.“It's not an announcement that is happening but we are reviewing it and the CDC team is modeling it and looking at data every day,” Giroir said.“And it may change or it may not.
