BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) left here Saturday for official visits to Kenya, Eritrea, Ghana, Cape Verde and Norway.     The delegation, led by Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, was invited by the three parties of Kenya's ruling coalition--Party of National Unity, Orange Democratic Movement and Orange Democratic Movement-Kenya, the People's Front for Democracy and Justice of Eritrea, African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde and Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

BEIJING, June 10 (Xinhua) -- China hopes to deepen economic and trade cooperation with Kyrgyzstan for mutual benefit, Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan said here on Wednesday.     Wang made the remarks at his meeting with visiting first deputy prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov. Babanov paid his visit to China to attend the 8th meeting of the China-Kyrgyzstan joint commission on economic and trade cooperation.     Expressing his congratulations on the successful conclusion of the meeting, Wang said the two countries enjoyed deepening mutual political trust and sound development of economic and trade cooperation in recent years.     Wang also expressed China's hope for the two sides to strengthen feasibility study of important cooperative projects.     Babanov said Kyrgyzstan was ready to boost bilateral cooperation in all fields, in efforts to push forward bilateral relations.     Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO), a regional organization which also comprises China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.     Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the ninth SCO annual summit on his state visit to Russia from June 14 to 18. Leaders are expected to discuss measures on tackling the economic downturn as well as expanding economic cooperation.

Kinsella, Speaker of Canada's Senate, Yang spoke highly of the two country's past efforts in advancing relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1970 and hoped more could be done to further enhance bilateral ties. JINAN, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Thirteen people were confirmed dead and two others fatally injured in a fireworks explosion Saturday afternoon in east China's Shandong Province. The explosion took place at an unlicensed fireworks processing factory in Yangzhuangzi Village of Qingyun Township, Qingyun County, at 1:30 p.m. Three rooms owned by villager Yang Ziye were toppled, according to the Qingyun county government. Identities of the dead were still unknown at the moment.     The police were hunting down for the tenant who was suspected of causing a major crime for the accident, said Gao Lixia, an official in charge of publicity with Qingyun County Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).     The two injured were rushed to a hospital in Binzhou, a nearby city in Shandong, for medical treatment.     Qingyun is a county in northern Shandong and is about three hours' bus ride from Jinan, the provincial capital.
