HAIKOU, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, on Sunday attended a south China campus event promoting the prevention of AIDS and tuberculosis, alongside Zambia's First Lady Esther Lungu and U.S. billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates.

Sany Heavy Industry, a mechanical engineering manufacturer, presented its undercarriages parts of crawler machinery. Its senior sales manager Dong Wanmin said while Sany machinery had earned an increasing share in global market, the company wished to also promote its core parts products with innovative technologies to abroad.

He said the Chinese and Italian governments played a "facilitation role" in the signing of the memorandum. "Today we have made an institutional step that will lead to concrete collaborations between entrepreneurs and tour operators from both countries," he explained to Xinhua.

The campus event was launched in Peking University last year and has been held in three separate colleges previously. It aims to spread knowledge about the prevention of AIDS and tuberculosis by using the influence of public figures.

The State Council also plans to coordinate development among e-commerce, trade, logistics, industrial production and financial services.
