CINCINNATI — Ohio State Representative John Becker, R-Clermont County, has announced that he has filed articles of impeachment against Gov. Mike DeWine.Becker, who represents the suburbs outside of Cincinnati, drafted the articles back in August to “restore the rule of law” back to the state.On Monday, 12 articles of impeachment were issued by him, along with Reps. Candice Keller, Nino Vitale, and Paul Zeltwanger.All of the representatives that filed the articles were Republicans, just like DeWine.The articles allege DeWine has abused his power as governor and has violated both the Ohio and U.S. Constitutions as well as Ohio Revised Code in issuing COVID-19 health ordinances.“Rather than hearing the cries of Ohioans, Gov. DeWine continues to stifle those cries by finding more inventive ways to use masks to muffle the voices of the people,” Becker said. “He continues to have callous disregard for the fact that his isolation policies have led to a shockingly high number of suicides, alarming rates of drug abuse, persistently high unemployment, and the forced abandonment of the elderly by their loved ones.” 1129

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – A 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after police said he was driving a SUV that rolled over at a Chula Vista rock quarry.Police said the incident happened at around 2 a.m. Wednesday in an area off Hard Rock Road, near Heritage Road.According to police, an SUV driven by the teen crashed through a gate at a rock quarry and then rolled over. Witnesses reported seeing several juveniles get out of the wreckage and run away from the scene.The 13-year-old driver remained with the SUV and was questioned by police before being transported to the hospital. It is unknown if the teen suffered any serious injuries.ABC 10News learned police launched a drone to search for the passengers but could not locate them.Police are trying to determine who owns the SUV, how the teen ended up behind the wheel, and if the vehicle was stolen. 871

CHULA VISTA (KGTV) -- The Chula Vista Elementary School District says families can now pick up both breakfast and lunch meals in one trip, the district announced Wednesday.CVESD is working with families to make the meal service more accessible and increase participation. Previously, the service was offered over to two different sessions for breakfast and lunch requiring families to make two trips.The hours are: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day, the district said.Schools throughout the county are continuing to provide free meals to students in need amid the COVID-19 outbreak.CVESD is also extending the "grab-and-go" meal service at all nine school sites through spring break, March 23-27 and March 30 to April 3."Students who are receiving the meals must be physically present. CINCINNATI – Charles Adams went on a rampage before he died in police custody Wednesday, acting wildly and damaging residents’ property at a Westwood apartment complex, according to a resident and 911 callers."It was bizarre, so bizarre," India Lavender told Scripps station WCPO in Cincinnati.Lavender said the 36-year-old Adams jumped on her car and then jumped into her neighbor’s window."(Somebody) came and knocked on my door and told me there was a man standing on top of my car," Lavender said.  “I came out. He yelled at me and told me to call the police, somebody was chasing him,  and he literally jumped off my car into my neighbor's window."Adams damaged at least five others cars while calling out for help as he went along, residents said.“It definitely seemed as if he was hallucinating,” Lavender said. “In his mind, someone really was chasing him, 'cause he was trying to get everyone else in the building to see the other people that weren’t there."Body camera video of Adams' arrest shows him becoming increasingly lethargic and unresponsive after officers put him in handcuffs. At one point, while standing, he slumps forward until he is nearly bent double.When officers escort him outside and allow him to sit down against a railing, he begins to drool and twitch before losing consciousness. "Jeez," one officer says in the recording. "He's foaming at the mouth."His breathing stopped shortly after his eyes closed.The fire department gave Adams first aid, including CPR, but he died on the scene.It’s unclear what brought Adams to the apartment complex. Neighbors said they had never seen him."Officers did not use any type of force to subdue Mr. Adams during the arrest activity," Lt. Stephen Saunders, Cincinnati police public information officer, said in the statement. The body camera footage reflects this assertion.READ the police statement here or below.Police documents released Thursday said District 3 officers responded to 911 calls about a man “exhibiting bizarre behaviors.”Adams responded to officer's verbal commands and he was placed in custody after they encountered him outside the Western Glen Apartments at 2627 Montana Ave., about 7:36 p.m., according to the police statement.Officers observed a small amount of blood from lacerations on Adams’ hands that occurred prior to their contact and immediately requested assistance from the fire department for medical aid, Saunders said.This remains an active investigation and more details will be release when available, Saunders said.  2589
