According to police, the crash happened near the intersection of Mission Bay Drive and Garnet Avenue at 1:18 p.m. Witnesses told police the silver BMW was traveling fast before hitting a 67-year-old pedestrian in a raised median along Mission Bay Drive. The car then continued into the busy intersection and hit a Ford Fusion before flipping over and coming to a stop in the Enterprise Rental lot. The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening head injuries, a broken pelvis and internal injuries. The 40-year-old driver of the BMW was uninjured and a woman in the Ford Fusion only had a complaint of pain. (CNN) — Braysen is a 4-year-old boy with autism who usually loves to fly. But he had a meltdown on a United Airlines flight from San Diego to Houston.That was when the aircraft's crew and passengers came together to help him.The boy's mother, Lori Gabriel of Cypress, Texas, told CNN that Braysen removed his seat belt just before takeoff, saying he wanted to sit on the floor."It was impossible to restrain him. He was fighting both me and his father. It took the both of us to try to get him back to his chair and get his seat belt back on. He started kicking, screaming and hitting," said Gabriel. According to recently released data, San Diego County is drier than normal. Parts of Southern California show record dryness, including portions of Santa Barbara County.
