Even if the emails in the Post are legitimate, they don’t validate Trump and Giuliani’s claims that Biden’s actions were influenced by his son’s business dealings in Ukraine.The email reportedly is from Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Ukranian energy company Burisma. Pozharskyi wrote to thank Biden "for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent (sic) some time together. It’s realty (sic) an honor and pleasure.”Giuliani claims the emails were taken from a laptop that was dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019, which was never picked up by the owner. UPDATE - The Escondido City Council voted 5-0 Wednesday to approve the moratorium on carwashes. Escondido has too many car washes. That's a conclusion the City Council may make on Wednesday, when it may place a moratorium on new car washes in the city.A city report says there are now 28 car washes in Escondido, with more in the planning stages. Instead, the report says the city prefers businesses that create higher paying jobs, more sales tax revenue, and are less intrusive on the surrounding environment. "Escondido has the most permissive policy towards car washes compared to other agencies in North County," the report says. "Currently, there are no special use regulations established for carwash facilities."The moratorium would give the city 45 days to come up with those rules.The issue is coming to light because Neil Capin wants to redevelop an old skating rink at 864 N. Broadway into an express wash. But that's right across the street from a 24-hour mostly manual carwash, with one automated wash. Capin said it should not matter what's across the street, noting that there are plenty of coffee shops and fast food restaurants near each other.Others say the city has too many car washes as it is."I'd rather drive another mile and not have them on every corner," said Ryan Carlson, who was washing his truck at the 24-hour facility on Broadway. Plus, not all car washes are the same. At Soapy Joe's on East Valley Avenue, V.P. Two students were injured after a gun accidentally discharged at a school in Fulton County, Georgia on Thursday.Police received reports of a loud pop coming from a classroom at Banneker High School just before 3:30 p.m.According to a spokesperson with Fulton County Schools, a bullet hit a female student in the ankle, and also grazed another student. Both students were treated for minor injuries, according to the spokesperson.Officials say officers searched the classroom and found a low-caliber handgun hidden in a box. It's believed the weapon was brought on school property in a book bag by a student, according to the school spokesperson.The spokesperson added that "the investigation into this incident is ongoing and the [Fulton County Schools Police Department] plans to file criminal charges against everyone involved in this incident in accordance with District policy."Three students will face charges in the incident. One student is being charged with one count possession of a weapon and one count of a weapon on campus. Two students are being charged with reckless conduct because of their contact with the weapon.The spokesperson told CBS46 the gun did not belong to the injured students.No bags of any kind are being allowed into the school building on Friday.  1297

The man, identified as Robert S, was playing the IGT Wheel of Fortune Ultra Wheels penny slot when he hit it big, according to the casino. “I’m still in shock. I couldn’t sleep for two days. I was up tossing and turning and thought they would call me and say the machine malfunctioned,” Robert said. A photo taken after the big win shows Robert standing next to the machine. TULSA -- Dash cam video released Monday shows a man smash a Tulsa Police Department vehicle with a large pipe.Police said on Aug. 7 around 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to Brookhaven Hospital for a patient attempting to leave.The man was later found on I-244 eastbound.The man is seen smashing an officer's window. Police said the man was experiencing a mental health crisis.The man was tackled and officers returned him to the hospital.No arrests were made.  475
