SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- At least five food handlers have tested positive for COVID-19 -- four restaurant employees and one grocery store employee, according to San Diego County health officials.County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher said Sunday that the grocery store alerted county officials and followed sanitation protocols before reopening the store.Fletcher also stressed that there is no evidence of COVID-19 association with food, citing the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.MORE: SAN DIEGO COUNTY COVID-19 TRACKER"If you have a sick worker, they must stay home," Fletcher said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Delta passenger mauled by an emotional support dog has filed a lawsuit against the airline and the dog's owner, a Marine combat veteran.In June 2017, Marlin Jackson boarded a San Diego-bound flight in Atlanta headed for a work conference. Soon after, fellow passengers watched in horror as a brutal dog attack played out in front of them.Jackson sat in a window seat. In the middle seat was a Marine veteran was with an emotional support dog, a chocolate lab pointer mix, in his lap. He bled so profusely that "an entire row of seats had to be removed."The incident sparked national headlines, and tighter policies for emotional support and service animals. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A former gang member who turned his life around in stunning fashion just got accepted to four different universities, including UC Berkeley and UC San Diego. 10News first met Apollo in 2010, as he and several others went to court to get off a gang injunction list for an Oceanside street gang.  An injunction prevents gang members from doing activities in certain areas, like associating with each other.  At that time, Apollo told us he had been out of the gang for several years after four years inside as a teenager."What hurt the most is hurting my mother... You want to amount to something, so (when i decided to get out) I'm trying to do this for her," said Apollo.Apollo was removed from the list about a year later, which is a rare feat.
