Heather Locklear was taken to jail after deputies responded to her home Sunday night on a report of domestic violence, and she allegedly attacked a responding police officer.TMZ reports Locklear?became combative toward the officer at her home in Thousand Oaks, California. She was arrested on three counts of misdemeanor battery for the attack.Locklear, known for her roles in "Franklin and Bash," "Melrose Place" and several other TV shows and films, is 56 years old.In years past, she has been arrested on DUI charges. She's had struggles with drug abuse, TMZ says.It is not clear who was in her home when the domestic violence call was made to police. Here in the U.S., states are handling vaccine distribution in different ways.Most are going with health care workers in direct contact with COVID-19 patients first, but plans could change.“So, we need to set realistic expectations that there will be guidance that's different in different states. The guidance will evolve as we get more and more vaccines. And that doesn't mean anything's wrong or we've changed our minds, it’s just the way it's going to roll out,” said Stacy Hall, Director of Louisiana’s Public Health Immunization Program.Louisiana plans to let its hospitals and EMS distribute the first doses to their staffs. It’s a strategy not just to protect the valuable workers, but to hopefully get the public on board.“I'm really eager for them as the first group to really learn the science about the vaccine and step up and be vaccinated. I think that'll set our whole campaign in Louisiana and nationally on the right track,” said Hall.As for the cold storage of the vaccine, Louisiana doesn't see it as overly challenging.They also plan to use the state immunization information system to track who needs second doses and where the vaccine is being used most.“I want us to keep going back to that. There will be challenges and issues, but what a wonderful opportunity to make a change in the trajectory of the pandemic,” said Hall.The reality is, it will be months before the general public will get the vaccine at a pharmacy or drive thru. 1464

GASLAMP QUARTER (KGTV) - A benefit was held Sunday night for a local woman injured in a parasailing accident in Mexico. On June 9th, Katie Malone was in Puerto Vallarta to celebrate her 29th birthday when tragedy struck. According to a local newspaper, Malone was parasailing when the rope tethered to a boat somehow broke and left her flying through the air.Malone crash-landed at an airport and suffered a fractured skull, fractured pelvis, broken ribs, a collapsed lung and other injuries. Donations helped pay for her treatment and life flight from Mexico back to San Diego. She spent about a month in the hospital. For the past few months, Malone has been in physical therapy and working to get stronger everyday. She says she is a year ahead of schedule."When it first happened, I just wanted to move forward and not dwell on things," Malone said. "I would do physical therapy and in between physical therapy I would do homework they gave me to do."  Malone is extremely thankful to family and friends who have been there for her and helped her move forward.Sunday night's benefit was held at "Tin Roof" in the Gaslamp Quarter. The benefit was to raise money for Malone's medical bills.Malone said she might go parasailing again, but not anytime soon. 1315
