For nearly a decade, 26-year-old entrepreneur Zachariah Reitano had only talked to one person about his erectile dysfunction: his doctor, who also happened to be his father. But over the past seven months, Reitano has told business partners, his girlfriend of four years, investors, and now the world. He's even created a business, called Roman, to help men discretely seek treatment. The startup connects them with doctors online who can diagnose ailments and write prescriptions, and Roman sends medication to their doorsteps. The startup has received .1 million in venture capital. 592

First lady Melania Trump was released from the hospital Saturday morning, her office confirmed."The first lady returned home to the White House this morning. She is resting comfortably and remains in high spirits," said Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's communications director. "Our office has received thousands of calls and emails wishing Mrs. Trump well, and we thank everyone who has taken the time to reach out."Trump has been recuperating at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since she underwent a kidney embolization procedure on Monday. Grisham said Monday that the first lady was expected to stay in the hospital for the duration of the week.Pressed for more information about the first lady's condition and why she stayed in the hospital five nights after what was possibly a routine kidney procedure, Grisham pushed back on reports speculating about Trump's health. 898

First it was Hurricane Harvey, then Irma. And in the end, millions of people desperately need help.If you weren't directly affected and would like to chip in, the good news is that many companies will let you double your donation. How to extend your giftThe American Red Cross has become the go to charity for victims of both hurricanes. And it has partnered with a number of big corporations, who are promising to match your gift, giving it double and even triple the impact. If you are in Walmart or Sam's Club in the coming days, look for signs at cash registers explaining how to donate and get their match, through Saturday, Sept. 16. Walmart has promised to match donations two-to-one with cash or products. You can do it in store, or at Walmart's website. Also, many employers are doubling their workers donations.Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and AT&T are among those who have been matching employee gifts, some two-to-one. Be sure to check with your specific employer to see if they're offering a similar initiative.Beware of donation scam emailsBut be cautious of scammers who want to take your donations.Watch out for email phishing scams claiming to be from the Red Cross and other charities, asking you to donate. Several federal agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, are warning consumers to be wary of bogus emails related to the hurricanes. You should know that scammers may use names that are similar to reputable charities. Those copycats may misspell the organization's name or make a subtle tweak, hoping you don't notice. The federal agencies also say you should avoid cash donations when possible, and never write checks to individuals claiming to be victims. If you are not sure about a charity, especially one that calls or emails you, do not agree to help them out.First, look them up online at guidestar.org, give.org, or the Better Business Bureau, and check them out, so you don't waste your money._________________Don't Waste Your Money” is a registered trademark of Scripps Media, Inc. Former President Barack Obama is cautioning activists against using slogans like “defund the police” to achieve policy changes.Obama spoke with Peter Hamby on Snapchat’s “Good Luck America” and was responding to a question about activists who use “defund the police” as a rallying cry."If you believe, as I do, that we should be able to reform the criminal justice system so that it's not biased and treats everybody fairly, I guess you can use a snappy slogan like 'Defund The Police,' but, you know, you lost a big audience the minute you say it, which makes it a lot less likely that you're actually going to get the changes you want done," Obama said.Instead, Obama encouraged them to have a more inclusive discussion with all stakeholders.“If you instead say, 'Let's reform the police department so that everybody's being treated fairly, you know, divert young people from getting into crime, and if there was a homeless guy, can maybe we send a mental health worker there instead of an armed unit that could end up resulting in a tragedy?' Suddenly, a whole bunch of folks who might not otherwise listen to you are listening to you,” Obama said.Top elected Democrats, including president-elect Joe Biden and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, have said publicly they support changes to policing practices but warned the phrase “defund the police” -- which calls for redirecting some municipal funds from police departments toward social welfare programs -- could be harmful. Many progressives, however, including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have often repeated the phrase. In response to Obama’s interview, Rep. Ilhan Omar, a close ally of Ocasio-Cortez, tweeted a sharp rebuke.“We lose people in the hands of police. It’s not a slogan but a policy demand. And centering the demand for equitable investments and budgets for communities across the country gets us progress and safety,” Rep. Omar’s tweet reads. 1949
