The video went viral. Charges were filed on Feb. 15 by the District Attorney's Office against Rosa for animal abuse and neglect. First Unitarian Church in Denver was one of the first to adopt the designation.Reverend Mike Moran with First Unitarian Church says it hasn’t always been easy.“We have received threats. We have received bomb threats, personal threats,” he explains.Members of the church formed a volunteer guard network, partly because of those threats. They patrol the church and guard the door almost 24-hours per day.Randy Chase, 69, is one of the guards.
