A Cape Coral, Florida woman is in jail on a DUI charge after police say she bought more wine after crashing in a Publix parking lot.50-year-old Lisa Lehman is facing charges of DUI and Hit and Run.According to Cape Coral Police, around 8 a.m. Sunday, a customer came out of the Publix on Cape Coral Parkway to find her parked vehicle damaged.As the victim talked to police at the scene, Lehman arrived, placed a brown bag in her car, and identified herself as the driver of the car.  She admitted that she had hit and damaged the victim's car. Officers noted that Lehman was having balance issues and smelled of alcohol.EMS checked Lehman and found no medical issues, and officers conducted a DUI investigation, during which she failed several sobriety tests, according to a police report.Lehman was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.A search of her vehicle revealed an empty Chardonnay bottle under a seat, and the brown bag contained a bottle of Moscato she had just purchased from Publix. 1040

A child in Galion, Ohio tested positive for meth on Sunday, just hours after trick or treating in the small town located between Columbus and Cleveland, WBNS-TV reported. According to the Galion Police, the boy is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a seizure. The boy reportedly was sickened after playing with fake teeth that were given to him while trick or treating. The boy's father reportedly said that the boy only had a few pieces of candy before getting sick. The Galion Police has not confirmed how the boy became sick from meth, and an investigation is underway. In the meantime, the police department has issued a warning to its residents. "We encourage parents to thoroughly check any candy your children may have received before they eat it," the Galion Police Department said. An expert on Halloween sadism, Joel Best, has previously said that intentional tainting of trick or treat candy is generally rare.“There is this fear out there, and it is terribly overblown,” Best said. “They are worried that some maniac will hand them a contaminated treat, and I can’t find any evidence that has ever resulted to a death or serious injury.” 1201

Health experts have found it is more infectious than the original virus.“Let me tell you what, there is no evidence of nor reason to believe, it is not any more lethal or any more dangerous than the normal coronavirus, no evidence to suggest that, no reason to believe it,” said Admiral Brett Giroir, Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).The variant has already been found in Australia, Denmark, South Africa and the Netherlands. Italy reports it has at least one patient infected with the mutation.While the U.K. works to control the new variant, several countries have banned flights coming from there, as well as countries where they've seen such infections.Despite the mutation, health officials remain adamant that it's important to get the COVID-19 vaccine.“There is also no evidence to suggest nor reason to believe that it would evade our vaccines that we have right now. A college football player from the College of Wooster in Ohio died on Sunday, after he was transported to the hospital following a game on Saturday. Clayton Geib, who was an All-Conference offensive lineman from London, Ohio, died at the age of 21. Geib was a three-year starter for NCAA Division III Wooster, starting in 33 games. According to the college's athletic department, Geib was transported to the hospital on Saturday after complaining that he did not feel well. The cause of his death is unknown. "Clayton was a wonderful student and member of the College of Wooster community, and beloved by many," said Sarah R. Bolton, Wooster's president, "Our hearts are breaking, and all our prayers and thoughts are with Clayton's family, teammates, and friends."Wooster is located Northeast Ohio. Geib's death is the second among college football players in the area this year. In June, freshman Tyler Heintz died following football conditioning drills at Kent State. Heintz's cause of death was ruled as hyperthermia by a coroner. It was later discovered that Kent State employed a conditioning coach who could not produce proper credentials.  1230
