BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo police have charged a woman with felony reckless endangerment and reckless driving for allegedly hitting a Niagara Square protester with a truck Wednesday night.The driver has been identified as 25-year-old Joanna Gollnau.Slow Roll Buffalo says 59-year-old Karen Huffman, who is a member of their board, was the person hit by Gollnau during those protests in downtown Buffalo.Protesters were rallying against racial injustice and eyewitnesses tell WKBW that the driver of the truck was shouting at protesters as she drove into the crowd.WKBW was at the scene at the time. BONITA (CNS) - A 51-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured Thursday in a collision with a cement-mixer truck near Chula Vista Golf Course.The man was riding west on Sweetwater Road in Bonita shortly before 9:30 a.m. when the driver of the construction vehicle, heading the same direction, made a right turn and hit him at Briarwood Road, according to the California Highway Patrol and firefighting officials.Medics took the victim to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego for treatment of major but non-life-threatening injuries, said Dan Genevicz, a fire captain with Bonita-Sunnyside Fire Protection District.The accident forced a roughly 30-minute closure of the intersection, Genevicz said. 702
