SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Nearly two dozen children were hurt over the weekend after a platform collapsed at a San Diego indoor parkour gym.One of the people hurt said her 10-year-old son was one of her rescuers.It was kid’s night out, so most parents dropped their kids off. So I’m like mom, get up, get up.”Ian says he then started clearing the wood and the blood-stained glass. "I said, I'm fine, I'm fine, nothing happened to me. I was more concerned with my mom instead of myself because I love her and stuff.”"He just said I didn't want you to worry about me because I knew you were so hurt,” said Blair. 1544

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was shot Sunday outside of a College Area smoke shop, according to police.It wasn't immediately clear what led to the shooting, but San Diego Police confirmed that a 20-year-old man had been shot just before 5:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of El Cajon Blvd., outside of Aztec Smoke & Vape Shop.The victim was hit in the leg and chest and taken to a nearby hospital, but their condition was not clear.The area was closed by police for the investigation.10News is monitoring this breaking news. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a body was found in Mission Valley Tuesday morning. Police say the body of a 67-year-old man was found on the 8800 block of Friars Road near the Rio Vista Shopping Center at 8:46 a.m. The victim had endured stab wounds to his upper torso, according to police. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Parents say they're disappointed after witnessing what they say was disrespect of the flag and national anthem at a high school basketball game. One parent captured video of the incident at Lincoln High School. They have a student at St. Augustine and say it was the second time they witnessed Lincoln High players sitting down during the anthem. The parent described the players as talking and joking around during it.A grandfather at the game, who is a Vietnam veteran, says he too was offended. He wrote a letter to Lincoln's principal and wants to sit down with him to discuss the issue. The veteran believes the players were disrespectful and says their actions were not in line with the school's mission statement.10News spoke with the school's basketball coach by phone who says he doesn't believe students meant to be disrespectful. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Normal Heights will become the testing ground for 7-Eleven's newest store strategy aimed at young consumers.The company will open a location of its "Evolution Store" concept at 3504 El Cajon Blvd. "in the next month or so," a company spokesperson told 10News.The store, geared to have a millennial appeal, will offer consumers options like made-to-order coffee and smoothie drinks, kombucha and cold brew on tap, and self-serve frozen yogurt.
