SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Rocks or BB pellets have hit more than a dozen taxis as they traveled near the San Diego International Airport over the past week, cab drivers told 10News.The attacks along Harbor Drive have left cracks in their windshields and dents in the vehicles’ sides, cabbies said.“It's life threatening and we are just shocked what's going on,” said cabbie Ahmad Saddat-Nejad.Saddat-Nejad, who has been driving for almost 30 years, said he has never had anything like these attacks happen.“My car was not even in motion. Suddenly, I hear ‘boom’. Somebody threw a rock,” he said, reporting an incident on Harbor Drive at Laurel Street.“It happened to five cars yesterday again,” said Alex Tegegne of the San Diego Taxi Association.Tegegne said the attacks occur every night after dark, from North Harbor Drive down the Embarcadero.“We start to say do we need a helmet, or what should we do now? Should we avoid going on Harbor? What can we do,” Tegegne told 10News.In all, 17 cabs have been targeted.“It is totally very scary, and the customers don't feel comfortable about it,” said Tegegne.Cab drivers say they can’t afford to lose those customers. The success of Uber and Lyft have taken a toll on the taxi industry.“We don't know if this thing is taking business from us. We are already on life support to begin with, but this will be another threat to our customers and also ourselves," Tegegne said.The threat could be enough to put drivers out of work.“He could have killed me and I’m scared of driving now. This is my living and how I’m supporting my family,” said Ezzaddin Fato.San Diego Harbor Police confirm the arrest of one suspect Saturday, but said another attack has happened since then. Shall People’s Ordinance O-10960 be amended to exclude the Midway-Pacific Highway Community Plan area, which includes the Sports Arena, from the 30-foot height limit on buildings in the Coastal Zone, with any future development still required to comply with other governing laws?(Full text)Voters will be able to vote “yes” or “no” on the measure. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego and National City Police detained three people and sought a fourth Friday at a South Bay home where a neighbor said shots were fired.The incident started Friday about 5 p.m. at Alpha and 47th streets in National City. A woman who lives near the home told 10News she heard gunfire. A 10News crew on the scene saw a man and woman leave the home with their hands raised. Police said three people were detained for questioning. Officers were searching for a fourth person in relation to the incident.There were no reports of injuries. 10News is monitoring breaking developments. 611

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County is praising local businesses that are stepping up to the plate during these challenging times.A transportation company out of Oceanside called FACT, or "Full Access Coordinated Transportation," is offering free rides for seniors, the disabled or veterans who may need it for essential needs. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego police are investigating reports of a suspicious package near a downtown courthouse Tuesday.A package was discovered outside the courthouse at the corner of Union and W. B Streets just before 12 p.m., according to San Diego Fire-Rescue. Out of an abundance of caution, the area was secured and bomb arson investigators were called.Court proceedings were delayed for a short period of time.Upon further investigation, authorities found that the package contained an empty metal security box. No explosive or hazardous materials were found inside. 582
