The department tweeted just before 6 p.m. that 10-year-old Richard had been found safe. "Update: He has been safely reunited with his parents," the department said. In June 2019, she sued the UC Regents and Chancellor Pradeep Khosla, alleging age and gender discrimination, as well as wrongful termination.Team 10 first reported the lawsuit in June 2019.Ford came to San Diego in 2015 after a decade at Columbia University Medical Center, according to a biography previously on the UC San Diego website.The lawsuit alleged that she was subjected to discrimination and harassment by Chancellor Kholsa because she was a woman over the age of 40, then retaliated against for complaining about illegal conduct. The complaint alleged that Kholsa promoted a younger and less experienced man to supervise Ford.“My client has been a successful fundraiser for 25 years,” said attorney Kristina Larsen last year. “She was recruited to UCSD… and UCSD Health had their most successful fundraising year of almost 0 million under Ms. Ford’s leadership.”The UC Regents recently approved the settlement agreement, although the terms were not disclosed.In a statement, Larsen told Team 10:“Former UCSD Assistant Vice Chancellor Jean Ford, The Regents of the University of California, and UCSD Chancellor Pradeep Khosla have amicably resolved the claims between the parties, with none of the three admitting any wrongdoing. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A former Border Patrol agent was sentenced Wednesday for trying to smuggle drugs across the U.S.-Mexico border while on duty in 2016.Noe Lopez, 37, of Chula Vista, was sentenced to 70 months in prison for attempting to smuggle methamphetamine and cocaine in exchange for cash. He pled guilty to the charges in June 2017.Investigators say the former Border Patrol agent agreed to pick up backpacks containing the drugs from the north side of the border while on duty. Undercover DEA agents used substances resembling drugs in the backpack drops.RELATED: Border Patrol agent arrested in North San Diego County on drug , weapons chargesIn a conversation with an undercover agent, Lopez discussed the area known as "Goat Canyon" as a preferred location, according to investigators, saying "Honestly, the thing is that there aren’t—there aren’t any cameras. The man who died did not have underlying health conditions.Saturday marked the sixth time in seven days that health authorities reported more than 300 new COVID-19 cases. Next time I will wait for cops and bring a medical exemption."Many people are supporting Lenin, with people commenting saying things like “there’s no reason to publicly shame a kid who’s trying to work his shift like any other day.” Another saying “they are following what they're told. I understand your frustration But it's being at aimed at the wrong people."
