(KGTV) -- Foot Locker is helping voters get a leg up this election year.The athletic retailer is partnering with the nonprofit Rock the Vote to turn all of its U.S. stores into temporary voter registration sites.Beginning Sept. 22, Foot Locker will have registration kiosks with a website where visitors can check their voter status, register to vote or sign up for election reminders.The company has more than 2,000 stores in the U.S., including seven locations in San Diego County.Foot Locker says the initiative is targeted at the more than 4 million young Americans eligible to vote this year. (KGTV) — Border officials say 19 people were rescued after the engine of the panga boat they were on caught fire near San Clemente Island this week.The shipwreck happened on Tuesday when a boat carrying 19 undocumented migrants became disabled just before 7 p.m. Four people abandoned the panga boat and swam to shore at Naval Auxiliary Landing Field on San Clemente Island.After the four people were questioned, they were identified as passengers on the panga boat and part of a human smuggling operation. The four people also indicated other passengers had paddled the damaged boat to the island's shore and got off.The next day, at about 6:30 a.m., a helicopter lifted to search for the remaining individuals, who were all found by about 5 p.m. The group consisted of 16 men and three women, all between the ages of 17 and 45, and all Mexican nationals illegally in the U.S. One man complained of abdominal pain and was taken to the Naval Air Station North Island, and then a local hospital for treatment. An additional four people were treated by border agents for minor injuries.Two men face human smuggling charges. The remaining individuals were turned over to Border patrol for processing. 1205

(KGTV) -- DoorDash announced Thursday that the information of 4.9 million users was affected by a data breach. The company said in a blog post that 4.9 million consumers, Dashers and merchants who joined before April 5, 2018 were affected. According to DoorDash, profile information including names, email addresses, delivery addresses, order history, phone numbers and hashed, salted passwords were accessed during the breach. The company says the last four digits of payment cards and bank accounts were also compromised for some consumers, delivery workers and merchants, but full credit card and banking information was not accessed. For 100,000 Dashers, driver’s license numbers were also accessed, the company said. DoorDash says it’s in the process of notifying those affected. The company says a third party accessed the data on May 4, 2019 and that it only became aware of the hack earlier in September. Get more information here. 947
