SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating a shooting in San Diego’s Corridor area that was reported following a vehicle crash early Tuesday morning.A DoorDash driver told ABC 10News he was on his way to make a delivery when he was involved in a collision with a car on 37th Street and El Cajon Boulevard at around 4 a.m.The other car drove off, and the DoorDash driver followed it to 37th Street and Meade Avenue until the car came to a stop.According to the delivery driver, two men got out of the car and fired shots towards him. The delivery driver said he was not struck by the gunfire and was able to drive away to call 911.A short time later, at an apartment complex in the 4600 block of 35th Street, police spotted the car that matched the delivery driver’s description.A woman believed to be the car’s driver and two others were detained for questioning by officers.There is no word on if any arrests were made. 930

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One San Diego restaurant has been awarded one of the most prestigious accolades given to eateries.Chef William Bradley's restaurant Addison at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar was given one Michelin star in the guide's first California edition. The guide awards between one and three stars to restaurants, meaning either "a very good restaurant in its category" (one star), "excellent cooking, worth a detour" (two stars), or "exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey" (three stars).Addison, a contemporary French restaurant, was San Diego's only restaurant to receive a star and one of 90 to receive at least one star in the California guide.RELATED: Michelin names several San Diego restaurants as 'hidden gems'In a statement to 10News, Bradley said the award is "humbling." "We are honored to be recognized by Michelin during this seminal year in California. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Officials with the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show announced this year's air and ground military event has been canceled citing the coronavirus pandemic.The 66-year-old air acrobatics demonstration is one of the nation's largest military air shows drawing several hundred thousand spectators over the three-day weekend event.MCAS Miramar tweeted, "Due to the continuing spread and health concerns of #COVID19, @MCASMiramarCA must formally announce the cancellation of the 2020 Miramar Air Show. It is a disappointment to us as well as many across the world, but the safety of our Marines and fellow San Diegans must come first."This is the first time the event has been canceled since 2013 when the U.S. Department of Defense slashed budgets due to a government shutdown.This year's event was scheduled for September 25-27. Officials said they are aiming to bring back the event next year.“While we had initially hoped to host the show and help usher in a re-opened San Diego, there are still a great many risks posed with a mass gathering of this size and scale to do it in a way that ensures our guests absolute safety," said Col. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Now that the Democratic Party has officially backed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, it’s time for the Republican National Convention. The four-night convention begins with a roll call on Monday evening from delegates who take turns stating their pick for the nominee. California Republican National Committeewoman and Delegate to Republican National Convention Harmeet Dhillon said they are expecting a unanimous vote for President Trump and VP Mike Pence.Then, top republicans and citizens will speak through the next few nights. President Trump is expected to speak Thursday evening, but the schedule also shows he will be in the program to some capacity every evening.This would typically be a time when hundreds from California attend, but with coronavirus restrictions, that’s not possible this year. Dhillon said California would typically have 170 delegates, an equal number of alternates and guests, but that number has dwindled to just 6 for 2020. She said everyone in Charlotte has taken multiple coronavirus tests and said she feels safe with the health guidelines being practiced.Dhillon also said that she encouraged people who would not be flying to the RNC to donate the money saved from staying home.
