FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Vice President Mike Pence will visit Arizona on Friday, Oct. 30, where he will speak at two "Make American Great Again" rallies in Flagstaff and Tucson, his campaign announced Wednesday.Pence is scheduled to speak at 2:30 p.m. ET at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport in Flagstaff and at 5:30 p.m. ET at Tucson International Airport in Tucson, according to a news release.Watch Pence's Flagstaff event below:President Donald Trump flew to Arizona on Wednesday – his seventh visit to the state – where he held a campaign rally at Bullhead City Airport. For Army veteran Leonardo De Angelis, COVID-19 has been hard in more ways than one. He came down with the novel coronavirus in April and was immediately taken to the VA hospital where he was treated and tested every week"If he tested positive, he would have to stay for another week. So, he was in there for a month," said his daughter Lacy De Angelis.Seven months later, De Angelis is still dealing with complications."He has permanent lung scarring in his lungs. He still can’t do stairs. He’s still doing physical therapy," said Lacy De Angelis.De Angelis also had a bout of pneumonia. And he also suffers from PTSD, which he and his daughter say has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic."I see shadows and I see them in the daytime and at night. They give me a pill to take so I can go to sleep," said De Angelis, who served in the Vietnam War in the late 60s."They said that because he was in isolation and he was so bored, he was seeing shadows. He would be running, and yelling, and screaming in his sleep at night," explained Lacy De Angelis.And he’s not alone.The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs says about 30 percent of Vietnam veterans have had PTSD in their lifetime. De Angelis is one of the more than 83,000 vets in VA homes across the country who have contracted COVID-19. More than 4,200 have died."We just lost another one the other day," said De Angelis."They’re seeing each other die again. They’re such a vulnerable population. They come in here and they make connections with other vets and then they catch COVID and they die. Fred Meyer stores will phase out all sales of guns and ammunition, according to parent company, Kroger."Fred Meyer has made a business decision to exit the firearms category," Kroger spokesperson Kristal Howard said in an emailed statement on Monday.The company said it made the decision last week "after evaluating changing customer preferences" and also "softening consumer demand" for guns for the last several years.Annual gun sales at Fred Meyer are million and "continue to decline," according to the company."More recently Fred Meyer has been transitioning away from gun departments as a result of the ongoing work to optimize space in Fred Meyer stores," the company said.The news comes after Kroger announced last week that the grocer will stop selling magazines featuring "assault rifles."Earlier this month, Kroger said its Fred Meyer stores would stop selling guns to anyone under 21, even though the law permits the sale of rifles to anyone 18 or older. (AP) — After his pregnant wife and two daughters disappeared, Christopher Watts stood on his porch in Colorado and lamented to reporters how much he missed them.He longed for the simple things, he said, like telling his girls to eat their dinner and gazing at them as they curled up to watch cartoons."Last night, I had every light in the house on. I was hoping that I would just get ran over by the kids running in the door, just barrel-rushing me, but it didn't happen," he told Denver TV station KMGH.On Thursday, Watts was in jail after being arrested on suspicion of killing his family, probably before he spoke those words.
