SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — SeaWorld's next big attraction is on track to open later this spring.Construction on the park's Tidal Twister roller coaster is set to be completed in May of this year, the park said Wednesday. The roller coaster is being hailed as a first-of-its-kind coaster with a figure-8, horizontal design and dueling trains in which riders sit both backward and forward.Tidal Twister will take riders on a journey as if they're riding the tide, accelerating 30 miles an hour, twisting and banking on a figure-8 track, and crossing an opposite facing train in the middle of the attraction. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Squatters turned a remodeled home in the College Area into a drug den, days after it was listed on as a vacation rental.Two weeks ago, John, who asked us not to use his full name, listed his four-bedroom home on the site VRBO, complete with new mattresses, comforters, and sheets. This past Sunday, a television installer entered the home to put up three TVs."He heard two people run out of the hallway out the back of the house," said John.RELATED: Residents concerned over rash of vandalism in Chula VistaPhotos taken by the installer show part of the scene they left behind: trashed bedrooms and beds littered with electric scooter parts. Also on the beds were crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia. Burn marks adorned three of the beds. John and his girlfriend had spent more than a week making the place perfect. "Just sad. She was crying out the break-in. Upsetting considering how hard we worked and how much money we spent," said John.John isn't sure how the intruders got past the locked doors. But once inside, it's clear they made themselves comfortable, using John's tools and toiletries, and eating food meant for future guests. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — SeaWorld's Tidal Twister roller coaster was open for roughly two weeks before an "operational issue" forced the ride to close.Friday, the park reopened the attraction to the public after repairs and has "passed inspection by the required agency," according to the park.In a statement to 10News, SeaWorld confirmed the ride passed inspection, adding, "The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority, and we are pleased to have resolved the issue in a short period of time."RELATED: SeaWorld unveils Tidal Twister thrill ride at San Diego parkThe ride had been shut down on June 1 over the mechanical issue, according to Cal/OSHA. Tidal Twister features duel track cars traveling at 30 mph around an infinite loop.
