SHANGHAI, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai has terminated its sister-city relationship with Prague, the city's Foreign Affairs Office said Tuesday.

"We have unswerving determination to safeguard China's sovereignty, security and development interests, implement the 'one country, two systems' principle and oppose any external force interfering in Hong Kong affairs," Xi said.

The two sides should maintain a mindset that is inclusive and open, adhere to the principles of mutual respect and non-interference in each other's internal affairs and handle their differences through constructive dialogue, said the Chinese minister.
