UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- China welcomes the improving situation on the Korean Peninsula and calls for further efforts to advance the political settlement of the peninsula issue, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here Wednesday.
"China will further ease market access, implement just and fair supervision, guarantee fair competition of different ownership subjects, and work to create an open, transparent, stable and expectable market and law environment for domestic and foreign enterprises as well as all kinds of talent."
"China is willing to strengthen communication with the French side in building the Belt and Road and explore new ways of cooperation," Wang said, calling on the two sides to make contributions to maintaining multilateralism, improving global governance, and promoting world peace and development.
On the Korean Peninsula issue, Li said that achieving lasting peace and denuclearization of the Peninsula accords with the trend of the times and the aspiration of the people.
Li said the inquiry was an innovative exploration of NPC supervision over judicial work, reflecting the constitutional principle that "all power belongs to the people."
