On Tuesday, Casey Louviere was mowing her yard in Louisiana when she suddenly passed out from heat exhaustion."I started seeing stars, and suddenly everything was black," Louviere said.She says she thought she was fine, as she had been drinking water at the time."Just simply went outside to cut grass, it was so hot. You know, I was fine, then everything just turned black. The heat is not something to play with," Louviere explained.Officials with the Scott Fire Department say they responded to the call on Rue Bon Secours of a person unconscious in their front yard."SFD began assessing the patient and administering basic life support interventions. Acadian Ambulance medics arrived, and the patient was transported to a local hospital," a release states. But the firefighters didn't just help Louviere medically.The firefighters stayed with her children until a friend was able to come over. They also came back to finish mowing her lawn."Something like that brings tears to your eyes, knowing that there are still good people out there like that," she said. "They took time out of their day to cut my grass and they didn't have to do that.""We didn't have to do it. We didn't do it to get recognition by any means, but we wanted to bless her and bless her family. Her grass was high and we wanted to help her," Fire Captain Kris Gumpert said.However, Louviere says she did not know the job was finished until she saw it on Facebook."I'm working from home currently, so I didn't walk outside this morning. The race is a total of 70.3 miles of biking, swimming and running. For one local Camp Pendleton marine, the race meant so much more. Captain John Watkins participated in the Ironman in memory of his daughter, Amelia Mae Watkins, also known as Millie. Millie passed away when she was just 10-years-old from neuroblastoma last year. Since Millie's death, her family raises money to raise awareness about her specific type of cancer. The Watkins raised over ,000 dollars for this race. One of the positions President-elect Joe Biden will reportedly be looking to fill when he takes office will be a new NASA administrator.According to Aviation Week & Space Technology, current NASA chief Jim Bridenstine said that he would step down from his position with the space agency even if Biden asked him to stay.Bridenstine told the magazine that he based his decision on what's best for the space agency, not for "partisan reasons."Bridenstine continued by saying that the next administrator needs to have a "close relationship with the president" and be "trusted by the administration," the magazine reported.Bridenstine added in the article that he doesn't think he'd be the right person under a new administration.According to NASA's website, the former Oklahoma congressman was appointed by President Donald Trump and took the NASA job in 2018.Bridenstine said he hasn't thought about what his next career step will be, Aviation Weekly reported. 965
